Where would I check LPC loading ok? I didn't see it in the verbose boot log before it hung. Do you have a link to a AppleTYMCE disabler by chance?

LPC

kextstat | grep LPC

AppleTy Disabler

ioreg -lw0 | grep AICPMVers

Does anyone know if K-Stat-i has a maximum CPU speed it can display?

3750MHz shows fine, 3780MHz only shows as a three digit number e.g.: 630MHz to 945MHz (Speedstep enabled).

Everywhere else the cpu speed is displayed correctly...

Hi Maldon,

I need help with my system, I was able generate dsdt.aml for my HP DV5 1120tx using HP HDX18,which has almost identical hardware but the problem is HP HDX18 has Full HD 1920x1080 resolution and my DV5 support only 1280x800.everything works as far as i know but when i boot into snow the resolution is set at 1920x1080, i manage to change the resolution in the display setting to 1280x800 but the resolution always revert to 1920x1080 after a boot .so, can u pliz tell how to fix this.thanks in advance.

try it

dsdt_korjing.zip

use system in 32 bit

arch=i386

tried already and i got "PCI Configuration Begin" then it just hang there.

Try 1 : Boot direct without any flag ==> failed

Try 2 : Boot with -f -x -v -arch=i386 ==> stuck at "PCI Configuration Begin"

Try 3 : Boot with -f -x -v -arch=i386 npci=0x2000 ==> also stuck at "PCI Configuration Begin"

I used ##### 3.8.0 to install this DSDT.

Please kindly advice on how to fix this problem. And many many thanks

it solves?

SMexternalclock = fsb (400x4=1600)

and

SMmaximalclock = processor clock

in smbios

No, doesn't work.

419x9 works ok with K-Stat-i, anything >419 (tried 420, 421, 422) and K-Stat-i doesn't show the correct CPU speed even with this is in the SMBIOS.plist...

 <key>SMexternalclock</key>
<string>422</string>
<key>SMmaximalclock</key>
<string>3798</string>

bug DSDT

extract from windows

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=223205

let me know what chipset

MaLd0n,

Will the Windows extraction give me different information than the Ubunto I already provided? I can do this, but I need to replace the hard drive, which is somewhat a challenge on my laptop.

Also, is there any way to determine the chipset? I honestly don't know, as, like I said, it's a laptop. I only know the processor.

Extract from Windows, Linux or Mac
