Thank you so much for your help MaLd0n, going to do a fresh vanilla install and try it out. Which type of Mac description should I use? Mac Pro 3.1 or Macbook Pro 12.2?

:)

Update 10.6.8 and Smbios iMac 12,1 or 12,2 ;)

Would you please take a look at these files and do a DSDT patch for me?

send_me.zip

I've been struggling for several days with my laptops and VGA, sound, network... nothing seem to be working.

Here is my system spec:

Vaio VPCEA16FG

intel Core i5 520M

LAN Marvell 8059

Wireless Intel N6200

ATI 5650

Appreciate.

Thank you so much MaLd0n!!

Got my DSDT successfully from your auto patcher.

I'm using ##### and ##### 3.7 with Chimera 1.4.1. So far almost everything working!

My HD 6870 works with my 27" apple led display ... looks so good! :(

64 bit works too. OC my system to 4.15Ghz too ... currently running for 5hrs! So far so good! Thanks again so much!!!

Thing to tidy next >

- sleep functions still no go

- still using macpro 3,1 ... hopefully can go for macpro 5,1

Cheers!

Geekbench result ... not too bad

Update 10.6.8 and Smbios iMac 12,1 or 12,2 :D

Thank you MaLd0n, the update, are you referring to "Mac OS X 10.6.8 Delta Combo 10K524"?

At the moment if I sleep with DSDT installed, screen will be powered off, pc still on, unable to come up again, seems like it is the MacPro 3.1 causing the problem.

I will try again with SMBIOS iMac 12,2 and 12,1 once I find the update.

I also get a KP from AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext if I do not use NullCPUPowerManagement.kext, any ideas?

Sorry for being off topic... :)

Any precautions for using the Delta combo?

Cheers!

maldon hey again,

does this code

 Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized)
 {
 Store (Package (0x02)
 {
 "device-id",
 Buffer (0x04)
 {
 0x81, 0x26, 0x00, 0x00
 }
 }, Local0)
 DTGP (Arg0, Arg1, Arg2, Arg3, RefOf (Local0))
 Return (Local0)
 }

will make my sata as "built-in" (and removing IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector)??

i found it on p5k-se/epu. in the specific field of sata, this was the only things different, and i know this is a mathod, but want to be sure if all right.

Now, you once tried to edit my sata to get vanilla ioata when i was on ide, with the followiing

0x9E, 0x26, 0x00, 0x00

which should i use? if any of them, and does it to remove IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector or i'm mixing up?

thanks once again -_-

That worked, but sleep is not working.

Mouse cursor disappears, but screen stays on. Possibly caused by Intel 950 graphics card? Can't change graphics resolution.

dsdt.Nathan.zip

sleep

yep

old problem when using ForceHPET

Sleep not working for last dsdt. (Graphics related?)

Also, Lizard.app - puts forceHPET - should be ForceHPET?

I corrected the video

not sleep

Sleep will not work
