Im using voodobaterry 1.33 and also have calibrated my baterry.

Thanks for your help, I fixed the Ms-7358 DSDT with everything working myself.

But i can't get sleep to work on my Acer 3680.

The only additional kext iss Fakesmc.

You modified the DSDT (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=90983)

and i injected ALC883 and GMA 950.

But if i go to sleep the fans and hdd won't turn of.

Additionally it doesn't wake up^^.

dsdt.01.zip

look at the Ioreg, video device and apply _DSM

Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized)
{
	Store (Package (0x04)
	{
 "AAPL,HasPanel",
 Buffer (0x04)
 {
 0x01, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00
 },
 "model",
 Buffer (0x07)
 {
 "GMA950"
 }
 }, Local0)
DTGP (Arg0, Arg1, Arg2, Arg3, RefOf (Local0))
Return (Local0)
}

Hi MaLd0n,

How do I add this line to my DSDT to make my Intel 950 GMA have full resolution and QE/CI?

Thank you for your time.

All the best,

NSCXP2005

PS Does the DSDT you patched for me have HPET working so I don't have to remove that kext to get my Ethernet working?

Hi,

I tried to patch my DSDT and I am stuck on the following:

This is for a clevo w860cu laptop with an intel i7 920xm cpu and ATI mobility 5870 gpu.

I also failed to get the alc888 working.

Does every motherboard uses a different alc888 driver? Because I tried atleast 10 different kexts for it, and only the ##### works only on internal speakers.

And the warnings I got are:

4503 Warning Not allcontrol paths return a value (_DSM)

4503 Warning Reservedmethod must return a value (Integer/String/Buffer/Package/Reference requiredfor _DSM)

5215 Warning Result is notused, operator has no effect

5228 Warning Result is notused, operator has no effect

6520 Warning Not allcontrol paths return a value (WMNV)

9472 Warning Not allcontrol paths return a value (_DSM)

9472 Warning Reservedmethod must return a value (Integer/String/Buffer/Package/Reference requiredfor _DSM)

If you need hardware specs, just ask.

Hi MaldOn,

Could you please help understand how to solve this problem. My hunch is it is related to interrupts?

USBMSC Identifier (non-unique): 2242800A35113CEF 0x781 0x5406 0x200

This is for Asus G53SW that you corrected the dsdt for.

Thanks,

Hi, the dsdt works and I got audio, still need a kext that enabled laptop speakers and line out.

Do I still need these kexts in my extension folder with the modified dsdt?

Disabler.kext

ElliottForceLegacyRTC.kext

EvOreboot.kext

NullCPUPowerManagement.kext

(I also got FakeSMC.kext and SleepEnabler.kext, sleep turns the laptop to sleep but i dont get the screen back :P)

I've tried to do the ##### method and didn't get good results. Trust me, its a lot of work, but if you use the DSDT method and use as few kexts as possible you're system will run much better. It has taken me months and months but using Maldon's method has proven epic.

The best way for me was to create the DSDT using Ubuntu live CD. Only then and using the updated model identifier on the first post did I actually have a fully working machine which followed by just needing a few kexts (network, IDE controller, and audio tweaking to name a few).

Nice! Neil Peart is my favorite drummer of all time.

One thing I have noticed is some devices that I plug into the USB ports that are on the back panel of the mobo don't always work but if I plug them into USB headers they seem to work better. Could this be a DSDT issue?

I have a USB port that does not work

it does not appear in ioreg

I removed the DSDT

the problem is not that?

:)

Neil Rules

but..

Buddy Rich is a god :P

Can you help me with DSDT for Asus Striker II Extrime?

I am searched on the site, but do not find normal working DSDT.

Hey MaLd0n,

JBraddock asked me to upload my DSDT here to get it patched so I can use his Extra folder (as we have a similar laptop) and benefit from what he has already worked on. here's the specs of my laptop:

HP Pavilion DV7-1299EF

graphic: Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT

audio: IDT 92HD71B7X

CPU: Intel® Core2 Duo CPU P8600 @ 2.40GHz

HP Webcam

etc..

I posted a lot of dumps on my git repository where I already have a patched DSDT but I think it's trashed with a lot of wrong or not necessary patches so here's my original DSDT which I ripped from Linux and on which I fixed only compile errors

If you need more information please don't hesitate to ask..

Thank you
