Synaesthesia
Hi Mald0n. I wonder if you can help me. I would be ever so grateful. My system, if that's important: Intel DP55WB Motherboard Core i7 870 8gb RAM ATi 5850. Everything works perfectly except sleep, and I still need to use NullCPUPowermanagement. I had been using the following DSDT file DSDT_Intel_BOXDP55WB.aml.zip I removed that and ran your app. Here is the send_me file. Thanks again! send_me.zip
MaLd0n
1. If I switch the system to 64 bit kernel, I got in trouble with VoodooPS2Controller (that works for 32 bit kernel only). Any solution for that? 2. How to solve the problem of wake from sleep (not like the issue when USB not being fixed, loading screen with progress bar appears and then reboots). 3. The system is much hotter compared to Windows environment. How to improve that? Fan keeps spinning loudly. 4. Is there anyway to get the system work without NVEnabler? The graphic card is Nvidia 105GM. 1- I use this Voodops2, works very well in 64 http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...st&id=87706 2- I have no idea, sorry 3- Run on terminal ioreg -lw0 | grep CSTInfo and kextstat | grep LPC 4- Use GraphicsEnabler=Yes send me a kextstat kextstat add in boot.plist <key>GeneratePStates</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GenerateCStates</key> <string>Yes</string> Thanks for the DSDT and the quick reply. I tried it out. It fixed my USB problem. Unfortunately I am still unable to put my laptop to sleep and still no Audio. On the plus side I can now boot without having a KP from AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext when I don't have the NULLCPUPowerManagment.kext installed. I'm also seeing outputs about some sound problems while booting which I didn't see before. I've attached the kernel log if you are interested in looking at it. Also includes an attempt to put the computer to sleep at the end. add in boot.plist <key>GeneratePStates</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GenerateCStates</key> <string>Yes</string> send me a kextstat kextstat Okay here it goes thanks MaLd0n. dsdt.qdogg22.zip DTGP EHCI FN KEYS HDEF HPET IRQs ADD Notify (\_SB.PWRB, 0x02) in _L METHODS OS PATCHING PNLF RENAME RTC SMBUS SHUTDOWN UHCI SUPPORT FOR APPLEACPIBATTERYMANAGER

Powaking
Maldon, I ended up creating my own DSDT via Linux. I then reinstalled 10.6 fresh. Installed Chameleon (generate P/C was enabled), installed the Extra folder provided on page 1 and installed the kext for my network card (had to run Kext Utility to install so that step is covered). I rebooted to make sure I can get back into the desktop and I was able to do so easily. I then installed 10.6.7. Install went fine but on reboot I get as far as the blue screen before the desktop and it just stops loading. I have tried booting with -x -s (booting with Safe mode I was able to get to the login prompt but since Bluetooth wouldn't work or my PS2 keyboard I wasn't able to log in. Could this be a DSDT issue? I did not install any other kext (not for audio and not for graphics). Here is the DSDT that was created in Linux. I have a GA-965P-S3 v3.3 F14 bios. powaking_dsdt.rar

Powaking
do you use arch=i386? Try with NVEnabler Damn, arch=i386 wasn't configured. Put that in and it booted but now no keyboard (PS2 or BT) and no mouse (even though BT says its connected). Only have USB mouse right now. I was toying with the idea of modifying the IOBluetoothFamily.kext with my bluetooths device ID so that it can wake from sleep but I first need to get them paired. They worked fine prior to 10.6.7 update but since then I can't get the keyboard or mouse to pair. niceshot
alright Thanks for your help. Now I realize that one issue is still persistent (it was there before) although it's minor. To enable sound I used newest VoodooHDA.kext. It works but the volume control (up & down) seems not to be working. Even I turn down the volume to mute the speaker still sounds with the same volume. Only PCA slider in VoodooHDA Pane can control the volume (it is not delicate though). Any idea?
ComPro
Thanks for all the work that everyone's done with all of this. Any assistance I can get would be much appreciated. I have an HP DV7T laptop with a 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo (P8600), 4 GB 800 MHz DDR2 RAM, nVidia GeForce 9600M GT, IDT High Def Audio. I've been trying to patch my DSDT file to help get sleep working and enhance my system as much as possible, but I haven't been able to do a whole lot. Attached is my send_me file. Again, any assistance is greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you need any more information. Thanks. send_me.zip
