xDeLiRiOuSx
-use Auto-Patcher(put DSDT in Extra)-reboot -use HDEF Gigabyte(replace DSDT in Extra) Hi MaLd0n, Okay, I'm back on to this once again. I successfully patched the DSDT file with the HDEF. rebooted but no luck, do I need to have any KEXT or other settings? I tried this on a brand new fresh install (auto updated to 10.6.7). Would love to get audio and have a 100% working hack BTW: USB audio works fine, but I'm a tinker...... we all are....

xDeLiRiOuSx
you know the correct codec? Sorry, MaLd0n I don't know what you mean. I know my board is a 889A soundcard that's built in to my Gigabyte UD3P. Are there several codecs floating around and only the right one will work for mine? I thought the Gigabyte audio patcher took care of finding the correct codec for me. However, after I get the patched dsdt file, do I need to use it in conjunction with a KEXT or anything else? Because I still can't get sound to work Thanks,
