xDeLiRiOuSx
Use Auto-Patcher, DSDT in Extra or root of the HD reboot use Gigabyte HDEF and LegacyHda en E/E http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...st&id=87699 Thanks, I haven't used the Auto-Patcher before. I hope I can get it to work right. I appreciate your quick response and help; you are an essential asset to these forums. Quick question; in the com.apple.Boot.plist you sent me I noticed the lack of DropSSDT=Yes. I'm not quiet sure of what that does; but I hope that'll take care of some temperature problem I'm having too. I was getting typical 37 Deg C idle temp on my all my CPU cores running on 10.5.8, now it's about 45 Deg C average idle temp on 10.6.7. I will try your instructions tonight when I get home, hopefully it'll make my hack nice and smooth again. Thank you so much!

xDeLiRiOuSx
dont use DropSSDTonly Generate P and C States Awesome! It worked to resolve my CPU temperature issue. However, no luck with the sound for the ALC889A. Any ideas? I might give up and just get a USB native sound card Thanks, David

UD3P_889A_notworking.zip Oh since you're looking into this for me, could you do me an extra favor and see why my nVidia GTS250 1GB Dual DVI ports doesn't work fully? It's setup for Graphics enabler and loads perfect when I have one monitor, but when I put two monitor it sends me to a blank screen when OSX comes to the desktop. When I hot plug in the second monitor, my OSX freezes. Thanks!
