oSxFr33k
@MaLd0n, That did not work but I found this: http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?...ost&p=15233 So would I remove the _BBN in the Device (PCI0) and apply it to RP01 through RP08? I don't know the device equivalent of IXVE bridge. His example only has two root ports device RP04 and RP05. Do you think this type of modification will work for me? If so could you point to me where exactly the methods _BBN should go? For example: Method (_BBN, 0, NotSerialized) { Return (BN00 ()) } What would I do with the return value and where exactly would i place the _BBN method under each RP device? Thanks

jazzyguy
Can you tell me, how did you enable brightness and sleep for me? I would like to share, as we have many users who are installing on this laptop, and it would be easier to just tell them how to patch their own dsdt. Or how is an easy way to compare two dsdts? I will attach my original send me.zip

Looks like some good reading for tomorrow. I appreciate it. But one last question so I don't waste time, is it possible for me to remap which keys control brightness? Like f2 and f3 as opposed to scroll lock and pause? Or no? I will do it if so, just is it possible?

jazzyguy
When I try to make a patch, then compile, I get "Error 4095 - ^ syntax error, unexpected PARSEOP_NAMESEG, expecting PARSEOP_DEFINITIONBLOCK" How should I fix that? Also, is it possible for the HP Probook 4530s to be added to the auto patcher? It would be be very useful, considering how many people are now installing OS X on here. jazzyguy
use DSDT EDITOR and PATCHER OsX, Windows or Linux SEE THE FIRST POST I'm using Lion right now, and it won't compile. What do you want me to see in the first post? And you said that if we give you send me.zip, you will make auto patcher, so can you make one for a 4530s pro book so I can give it to others with my laptop too? EDIT: also, I am using DSDTSE. jazzyguy
next update save as .dsl Thanks. And I save it as dsdt.dsl, but then I can't make it dsdt.aml, so it isn't usable. So I don't know what to do about that. And as far as the patching, does the AR9825 fix still require a modified io802011? If it does, then you can just leave that out, as it works with just a modified kext anyways.
