flAked
Hey, are there any major differences between the DSDT of Asus P8P67 Pro and the regular P8P67? Attached is my freshly extracted DSDT, maybe you could diff it with the one from the pro model? Thanks. dsdt.dsl.zip

flAked
Here goes. I believe there is one boot in the kernel-log where I just applied the Pro patch, might be useful. There might also be boots in the beginning using #####. My ALC892 is working with ALC8xxHDA + HDAEnabler, but not the SPDIF digital output. send_me.zip

Unfortunately, there is not patch or kext that will make BCM pci14e4,4353 card to work in hackintosh. I just read some people suggested that via DSDT it could be done. 382jsl881
@MaLd0n: Could you please also fix my Asrock 4CoreDual-VSTA's dsdt file? Sleep doesn't work (doesn't wakeup) and also Audio is not recognized (both AZAL and HDAC in one DSDT?) Specs: - VIA PT880 - ALC888 Audio Codec I know we don't hava the same laptop, but could you post your smbios.plist please. I use this smbios.plist <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple Computer//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>SMbiosversion</key> <string>MB51.007D.B03</string> <key>SMmanufacter</key> <string>Apple Inc.</string> <key>SMproductname</key> <string>MacBook5,1</string> <key>SMsystemversion</key> <string>1.0</string> <key>SMserial</key> <string>CNU7370KB2</string> <key>SMexternalclock</key> <string>200</string> <key>SMmaximalclock</key> <string>2000</string> <key>SMmemtype</key> <string>19</string> <key>SMmemspeed</key> <string>667</string> <key>SMmemmanufacter_1</key> <string>IBM</string> <key>SMmemserial_1</key> <string>0x00001020</string> <key>SMmempart_1</key> <string>0x48594D503131325336344350362D59352020</string> </dict> </plist>

gulliver
Hi MaLd0n, i´m back here now, i tried a lot of things now, including a copy of my backup. it is really strange, cause it happens not very often. So now i catched a screenshot. Hope you can help. Another issue i found out, that the jmicronesata sometimes it show 4 times instead only 2 ports. WallyFTW
I'm really new to this DSDT thing so bear with me. I updated to 10.6.7 and now I'm having some USB problems. The only ones that seem to be working are the ones in the back, plugged into my printer, keyboard, & mouse. Everything else doesn't seem to getting any power or connectivity. I do have two integrated ports on my keyboard which function just fine however. I was also informed that that I might be able to fix this issue by patching DSDT. I haven't a clue where to start but this seemed like an informative place. I've already ran your "Run Me" so here's my "Send Me". Specs are in my signature. EDIT: Nevermind, figured it out. send_me.zip

382jsl881
WoWVIA is a major problem for NativePowerManagement, etc test it Thanks again! I've just read, that the Asrock 4CoreDual-VSTA doesn't support C-States. I renamed some devices (TIMR, MATH) and added HDAU for ATI HDMI Audio to the fixed dsdt, . I think it's working great with your edits! dsdt.4coredual_fixed.zip

stargex
I'm a little new to DSDTs. I tried running the Auto-Patcher for my HP Dv6t-3100 using the HP DV6 setting. However I seem to be getting compilation errors while running it. So I decided to post the errors here: [Line 2274 type Error message Object does not exist (SLPB)] [Line 13742 type Error message Object does not exist (\_SB.PCI0.RP05.J380)] Currently I am not using any DSDT. I'm having problems with sleep (mouse cursor disappears for a couple seconds and comes right back with nothing else happening), sound (nothing recognized...), and some USB ports do not work (left don't work, right are fine). I have attached the send_me file. Seems like some people have had success with fixing these via patched DSDTs. Think you could help? Thanks for your time. send_me.zip

niceshot
dsdt.niceshot.zip HDEF DTGP EHCI FN HPET IRQs LPC OS PNLF RENAME RTC SMBUS SHUTDOWN UHCI USB _L METHODS Wow, I am speechless looking at my hackintosh machine right now. Everything works out of the box at 32bits. Need to select FakeSMC, Audio kext, VoodooPS2Controller & Trackpad basically. Fast shutdown & reboot (never been that fast before with #####), Sleep well but could not load the image (loading image screen appears then reboots, keep doing so infinitely). In spite of that, I am very very happy. Thanks Lord, I found this thread and you, MadL0n. Thank you. I have been waiting for this moment for a long time since I joined the community last August (I have not checked the forum frequently though). Now time to tweak the system if possible. 1. If I switch the system to 64 bit kernel, I got in trouble with VoodooPS2Controller (that works for 32 bit kernel only). Any solution for that? 2. How to solve the problem of wake from sleep (not like the issue when USB not being fixed, loading screen with progress bar appears and then reboots). 3. The system is much hotter compared to Windows environment. How to improve that? Fan keeps spinning loudly. 4. Is there anyway to get the system work without NVEnabler? The graphic card is Nvidia 105GM. Again, big thanks to MadLon and others for all your time investing making everybody like me happy today.
stargex
dsdt.stargex.zip Hey MaLd0n, Thanks for the DSDT and the quick reply. I tried it out. It fixed my USB problem. Unfortunately I am still unable to put my laptop to sleep and still no Audio. On the plus side I can now boot without having a KP from AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext when I don't have the NULLCPUPowerManagment.kext installed. I'm also seeing outputs about some sound problems while booting which I didn't see before. I've attached the kernel log if you are interested in looking at it. Also includes an attempt to put the computer to sleep at the end. Thanks again!
