MaLd0n
Hi MaLd0n after much research I have found the dsdt with speedstep for my Intel E8400, but I can not seem to apply to dsdt edited by you (if I boot the pc with the dsdt_e8400_speedstep pc is very slow). You believe something can be done? Thanks use old DSDT(whitout speedstep) ad in boot.plist <key>GeneratePStates</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GenerateCStates</key> <string>Yes</string> do not use DropSSDT=Yes

Noam AA
hey maldon once again. the past week i've had couple hdd failure. and i bought one new 1TB WD hdd. installed everything, working good but suddenly i lost my autosleep, no hard disk sleep either sleep working great by manual. and right now i found an app called "pleasesleep" which force sleep. i tried disconnect almost everything except keyboard and mouse fresh install, fresh without any hardware (i.e cd-rom, other hdd, usb, pci cards) fresh install on another drive is the next thing to try, but i just want to know if it's even related. i don't know if it's a dsdt related issue, but i would like your opinion . (asus p5k-se) now for the sleep as i said i found a solution, the app working great, but it's the hard drives i'm worried about, i don't like the idea of them spinning all the time when i know they can sleep. just need to figure what broke my autosleep so any help appreciated! Powaking
Maldon Forgive me for my perseverance but I really do want this rig to work fully with DSDT. I have attempted once more. Sleep partially works (monitor goes to sleep and hard drives spin down but fans continue to spin and if I touch the mouse it wakes up the hard drives and monitor, never really goes into full sleep mode). Also audio no longer works (had VoodooHDA installed prior to using DSDT but not it no longer works, should I rebuild the DSDT without VoodooHDA working????) MaLd0n
Also audio no longer works (had VoodooHDA installed prior to using DSDT but not it no longer works, should I rebuild the DSDT without VoodooHDA working????) For Chameleon (RC5 r699) I have the following: Builtin Ethernet Graphics Injection (Graphics efi is injected) ForceHPET Generate P and C states That is all. your problem may be some peripheral that you have on pc com.LaCie.driver.PXHCD

Kikko_R
Hi MaLd0n, i need help with audio on my P5b deluxe. I use your dsdt and after i add HDEF+AD1988Bfix with his kext. Now in System preference i have: I try to Patch the HDA, but i not very good with these things, can you help me please? send_me.zip This my code dump of audio card codec_dump.txt PS: sorry my english is not very good . Powaking
your problem may be some peripheral that you have on pccom.LaCie.driver.PXHCD <-- you're using it for '? Damn you're good. PXHCD is for my PCIe USB3 card. I tried unplugging the drive. Sleep was the same but this time it wouldn't wake up. I removed the kext and sure enough it sleeps properly now. So there is something up with that kext that won't allow sleep (can this be fixed in DSDT or can the kext be modified???). I'll try to get Voodoo working again or should I just try finding a LegacyALC883 kext (haven't been able to find one)?
MaLd0n
I use your dsdt and after i add HDEF+AD1988Bfix with his kext. DSDT in Extra AD1988Bfix in Extra/Extensions I try to Patch the HDA, but i not very good with these things, can you help me please? you do not need patched AppleHda(ALC889a and AD1988B) (can this be fixed in DSDT or can the kext be modified???). I do not know solution for that I'll try to get Voodoo working again or should I just try finding a LegacyALC883 kext (haven't been able to find one)? try with AppleHda AppleHDA.kext.zip remove LegacyHda use DSDT(HDEF) + AppleHda(plist and Binary patched) put AppleHda in system/library/extensions after double click in KextUtility (don't drag kext) Kext_Utility.zip
Kikko_R
DSDT in ExtraAD1988Bfix in Extra/Extensions you do not need patched AppleHda(ALC889a and AD1988B) DSDT are in extra, and AD1988Bfix in Extra/Extensions too. In sound options there are in and output options but sound wont work. Thanks anyway for your help

Kikko_R
Yes, the HDA is the original. I think the problems are the configuration pin of audio on DSDT or HDA. I used this guide for adding the dsdt code, it is for the Asus P5K, the AD1988B are the same of my P5B Deluxe.link I try also adding the patches on your dsdt whit DSDT Editor (HDEF+AD1988B) but the results are the same.
