Macandcheese
testing a new installation on another HD Copy folder Extra to HD Extra.zip Install Chameleon RC5 Chameleon_v2.0_RC5_r747.zip reboot use -v Once again, I'm very appreciative of all your time, but i am running into the same issue. I created a new guid partition on a seperate hd and installed snow leopard retail (completely vanilla). Without doing anything else, i copied over the provided extra folder and unzipped it to /. Then i ran your chameleon installer and installed it to the new installation drive. Having performed those steps, i reboot and hit F8 to select boot drive, I selected the new installation of OSX from above. Chameleon Runs and I can see that the dsdt is read and various tables are patched, but as soon as the kernel loads, the pc restarts. What other information can I give you that would be more helpful? Has anyone else with an asus p5k deluxe wifi/ap experienced similar issues? Again, thanks for all your time. I'm really grateful.

Macandcheese
I really do not know whyI hope someone can help you in this mystery Ok, to try and eliminate more variables, I removed my overclock settings from the bios and set everything to AUTO and enabled speedstepping and C1e (enables cpu enhanced halt state, whatever that means). Doing so allowed me to boot into the vanilla installation. So it seems that the extra folder and bootloader hate overclocking. bummer. not terrible though, at least i can boot into it. on to the second issue, i noticed that in display settings, i could only select 1024x768. I thought this was because i didn't have the graphics enabler key in com.apple.boot.plist, like i do in my current config. <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> When I added the above, i got the error invalid bios and it would not continue to boot. weird. it looks like we got further though which is great. Any ideas? Is there modifications in the dsdt that you gave me for the gpu?
