GPU acc, Network, nothing is working!!! internal display goes off when GPU ACC is enabled (GraphicsEnabler=Yes)! my DSDT is attached as text below: problem is a disorganized Method (_DOD, try the steps on first post to get a proper dsdt. try booting with -v -x If you want to send me information about your system so I can make an auto-patcher for it, please download and run the attached "run_me" script and attach the "send_me.zip" file it creates on your desktop. The included data is your DSDT, a list of loaded kexts, an ioreg dump and the kernel log. If you want to see the commands it runs, just open the script with "Automator". run_me.zip ( 66.11K ) Number of downloads: 757 maldon i got good stuf.. seems i trimmed and compared my whole day between m1530 and insp 1520. almost same. .except 1520 has x3100 or nvidia agp incorporated to same dsdt with a selection by memory. ( i ripped it out and kept nvidia part AGP aka PEGP) will upload soon!. testing between 2 different. but no shutdown so far. seems its wrong GPIO or something in the additions. look for WSEC in M1530 then look in 1520. not there.. but i added it and it works seems its related to fan weird. also the RTC can stay 0x06 .. seems no reset of cmos (boots fast on restart) by the way for those chasing cooler temps .. if u use the MacBookPro3,1 and u have 4 speedsteps in cpu it wont run right. runs 9 steps.. so i have 4 speeds in T7500 and i use MB31 that has a T7500 "merom" soo now its running coooler! because generatepstates sees its MacBook3,1 IN SMBIOS.plist so it generates 4 states. .not 9 states that it cant regulate speeds. KPOS
@MaLdOn dsdt.KPOS.zipDTGP HID/CID IRQs LPC REMOVE RENAME SMBUS SHUTDOWN FIX WARNINGS This works great on with 10.6.6, full sleep, etc. I got my hands on some more RAM and want to move this box from 2GB to 4. What needs to be done with the DSDT.aml to recognize the additional memory? Is a simple edit to the "SystemMemory" lines all that is necessary or do I need to regen a new DSDT.aml? Thanks! Thanks! you need to extract a dsdt with the additional memory and then reapply the patches the problem is "operation region" if you prefer, you can do manually seeing the difference after adding the memories Gigabyte I do not have this problem Asus is normal this problem
Mitch Matrixx
I dunno wtf I did.... DSDT worked great for autosleep on AC pwr first boot... I changed a couple things, and boom goes the dynamite lost sleep on AC. Closing lid works great, as does Menu>Sleep. Even wakes fine. Meh

Bor
Gigabyte EP45-DS3 rev.1.0 This DSDT is compatible with bios ver F9 and latest F10b. Its stabile and tested on two mobos(last 3 years of heavy use ) Works in 64 bits and with latest Chameleon without any problems. I made many modifications to this DSDT based on Insanelymac user posts and few guides posted here. Audio used to work till 10.6.3, but it doesn't work anymore even with LegacyHDA kexts. I don't care since on first mobo I have firewire audio interface, and on second Audigy with OSX kx driver (as you can see on ioreg.txt generated by your script). I put speedstep for Core 2 Quad into this DSDT (it also works on Core 2 Duo on second mobo). I hope you can remove this speedsteping from DSDT, to make it more universal. I would do that on my own, but I made last DSDT edit sooo long ago, that I already forgoten where are all bits and pieces regarding it : / Cheers! send_me.zip

LatinMcG
ok i deleted earlier yesterday dsdt. kept freezing. so i went back to original with 1530 patch and a few fixes. Maldon i think u forogt to add the WAK INI for PATA wakeup to keep the ide timing fix after wake. compare dsdt.aml in zip with a fresh patched and u see differences. 1: PXS1 isnt Yukon in 1520. its the WWAN cellphone broadband slot. (where i use my wifi card as slot for wifi has annoying LED light ) 2: LAN0 is right under Device (PCIE) in WAK is the method INI for pata and sata timing fix. this DSDT is for both x3100 and nvidia. shutdown wont work. seems m1330 and vostro 1500 and insp 1520 use alternate GPIO and GPE (PM2) so its just mater of finding the right address. look in m1530 in Device (MB3) find 0x1080 then above it is missing 0x1060 . the no shutdowns have 0x1060 and 0x1080. i was reading what AB__73 said about 0x1080 and i looked in FACP.aml and shows PM2 . in my gigabyte it doesnt show address there. so i think 0x1030 is right but the offsets might be wrong 0x48 ?
