Powaking
"load optmized defaults" in biosS3 enabled try sleep what happens to sleep? explain Just found out I can't restart either . When I tried to restart screen just went blank but never rebooted. Selected 'Load optimized defaults' and rebooted (made sure S3 was enabled). Got the Apple boot screen but the spinning icon just spun. No HD activity at all. Eventually I got the white icon (no KP). Went back into the BIOS and enabled SATA AHCI. Machine booted up this time but sleep now just blanks the screen, I can still hear HD and fans spinning. Eventually I have to press the reset button on the machine. Before the screen would blank out and HD/Fans would stop but when waking up it would be like I just turned on the machine. Getting sound assertions with voodoohda during bootup (popping) but thats for another day.

Powaking
I have a Geforce 7300GS 256meg card. Just installed Chameleon RC5 693. Will report back. Edit: Restart and Sleep are acting the same way. Screen goes black but HD and Fans still spin. In order to get it back up I have to either hit the reset button on the machine or power cycle. Could this be a DSDT issue?

XLR
Legacy in Extra/Extensions?http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...st&id=83718 AppleHda in S/L/E http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...st&id=83717 Yes, Legacy in Extra and HDA in S/L/E, didn't work. Then i tried installing the one from GA-G41M-ES2L, and surprisingly it didn't work too. And then i found this Gigabyte_ALC888b.zip and it did the job. I put AppleHDA from 10.6.2 to S/L/E, and GigabyteALC888bautoHP.kext with HDAEnabler.kext 1.2 in Extra. Problem solved. However, it's strange that GA-G41M-ES2L driver didn't work, it suppose to have the same ALC888b as GA-H55M-S2...

Also, i tested the other files in this archive (GigabyteALC888b and GigabyteALC88b6Ch) and they all work the same but with different I/O names, nothing interesting really. Haven't tested the SPDIF because i have nothing to connect to it.
