So please, don't try to one up me on this issue and then try to use some kind of "analogy" that basically tells me that I don't have the desire to want to learn. As I said before I am NOT resistant to the learning process, I just needed the right direction (web links in this case), to make that happen. THEN for me (and others like me) to be able to come back here and try out your "Special K Files." You know what, now that I'm thinking about it, you should change your name from "d00d" to "Special K." Again, you really need to figure out (on POST 1) what you need to do to make that minor adjustment happen so others that come on here know where to go FIRST to handle the (basic) installation needed, and then come back here to further adjust their system set up with what you've provided. It's too bad that YOU'RE resistant in wanting to take some advice (even from a n00b like me) and apply it to this great informational post to make it even better, and all the while you're trying to tell me that I'M resistant to learning???... I hope that you'll provide those links for others that come here so they know where to go without being teased by seeing all this great information but have no wherewithal to go to in handling the basic install (and education) needed to make it happen. From further inspection and searching around, it seems no device attached to the PCIe Slot are working, other than the GPU ofcourse. Have you tried all the PCIe slots on your machine? I also tested the same cards on my Z68 hackintosh and it works perfectly. These devices also cause a problem during shutdown, what happens is the Screen goes off and the fans are still spinning. However once I remove the Pcie cards (FireWire 800 & 1GBPS Ethernet Card by Sonnet) shutdown seems to work just fine. I was trying to play around with npci=0x2000 to see if it makes any difference. I'm using this as a guide for setting up 10.7.3 on my SR-2, and I'm pretty well along - had a bit of a hickup (of the kernel panic on boot variety) regarding graphics support, but I'm sure I'll work around that... There's no way I would've gotten this far without all you've done here. I'm wondering, has there been any movement on support for the onboard NIC? Or has anyone slapped a pcie NIC onto an SR-2 and gotten that to work (if so, which card/kext)? I do apologize if this's off-topic, but a usb dongle for network is really not an option for me... Right now I'm stock in a step that i know the next one is to show OSX GUI when booting to use OS X, and that every single thread that i found related to this boot problem, points to the GPU. Here is are my hw specs EVGA SR-2 2 x EVGA GTX 480 2 x Westmere 5620 @ 2.40GHz (no overclocking) 24 GB RAM ECC Reg Tri channel 1 x OCZ 120gb SATA III 1x 2TB Seagate SATA III WiFi Broadcom Installed using iAtkos L2 Selected IOPCIFamily, Disabler, CPU Throtler, FakeSMC, Graphics Enabler, GT100 for GTX fermi support, Chameleon 2.1, AHCI SATA, SSD TRIM First i ran the installation with one CPU and one GPU, then when i booted completly i added the second CPU, and the rest of the RAM, everything went normal, i got to the osx gui, all cores and ram is recognized and I'm able to perform anything that i want, but when i add the second GPU the boot process stucks at "DSMOS has arrived". I tried PCIRootUID=1, but when i get to the gui the resolution is stuck at 1280x1024, i tried also npci=0x2000 and npci=0x3000 and gives the same result. Also did a new fresh installation using ATY_init and with that kext i got into osx with the corresponding resolution, but the weird thing is that when i turn on the computer the dvi cable is connected to the primary gpu card, but when the osx gui appears, i have to switch the cable to the secondary GPU and when i open the System Information, both card shows up, but the secondary GPU reports only 512mb of vram instead of 1534MB. As a side note, the Mac Pro version appears as 3,1, i changed it with ###### to MacPro 5,1 but the problem still persist. Is there something you guys did or somewhere to point me as guidance or resignation? Maybe a cheer, LOL. hope you can help me out! Thanks in advance. Best regards! PCIe SSD HyperX Predator 480GB booting works. But the WIFI BCM94360CD is not shown up just the Bluetoothpart works - maybe the PCIe card don't work properly. I got the MacPro 5,1 SMBios, Deleted the Kext AppleTyMCEDriver.kext for booting with 5,1. Clover 3577 is running, i don't have a DSDT or SSDT. I would like to get the Power Management running. For now i got 14000 in Geekbench 32-Bit. With NullCPUPowerManagement.kext i got 26.000. Sleep/Reset/Shutdown works, but the Performance is low, if this works, does it mean i already got the support? There are no FW headers or ports, but an add on card can be used. It's better than the Apple hardware that can't be over clocked, has only eight memory slots instead of twelve, has only one analog line out instead of four, and lacks external SATA ports. The Apple hardware has a nice case, but Lian-Li has some that come close, and I'm more interested in performance. My dual 6 core X5650 is currently overclocked from 2.67 to 3.7 Ghz. Hello d00d, it would be interesting, if your changes to Bios A54 is working for A58 as well. I got the Turboratios to run with Piker Alphas SSDT to 111122 with some custom edits. But i would like to enable the NPM for that Board. You can check up my stuff in my signature. It would be nice, to update that Thread. I think my System is working right now very nice and stable. But i would like to create that DSDT to have all functions. Of course i would do a small how-to when i get everything running well, coz a lot of people are trying hackintosh's with that board right now. For now i have stock speeds.
