echoz
Hi, Would appreciate if anyone would help because I'm super clueless myself. The only way I've gotten OS x86 onto my system is via deadmoo's VMware image. Apart from that, all generic patches, namely, test3 and release1 have all but failed with the same type of error. Inccidentally, deadmoo's patch effort has also not worked for it. The latest i've tried is release1. All MD5 checksums all match up. Attached is the kernel panic readout that has always came up. I suspect its my USB support, but after having disable legacy support in the BIOS, this same problem still crops up. Much help appreciated. other
Looks to me like its you "Logitech MX310 (Serial adaptor)" Take out that component or disable the serial port via BIOS and try again. echoz
Tried that already, removed the serial adaptor and connected it directly to the USB bus. Still nada. Same error. [edit] my bad. disabled all my serial ports in BIOS. now the install dvd is booting.
