sclatter
I can't activate the AHCI mode in BIOS and the ideneb distribution cause in verbose mode the message "still waiting for root device" (i have alla SATA units); i try to install over distribution, but iatkos have the same same problem and ipc don't reboot and make a kernel panic at the end of installation. I try to install ideneb 10.5.8 lite on virtual box and in emulation the installation is fine (pci sound card don't works, but is a kext problem that i resolve in future). Now, I try to make a native installation of leopard or snow leopard: I have some question: 1- The error "still waiting for root device" is a problem of SATA dvd? 2- In this case if I boot via USB? 3- For Snow leopard, If I first install Leopard, which guide is the best for don't make mistake? 4- I have installed on this system Win7 and Ubuntu, I prepare a primary partition and set it to active for OS X, but I don't format this, because I prefer initializing the disc and make the free space to zero during the OS X installation, is correct? PS I don't addicted my new hardware in signature, but I do it as soon as possible. Thank you for help me!
