NP, maybe crazybirdy can

I did some test today for 10.10.x with test1, test2 boot files.

All versions boot fine with both boot files as attached bdmesg.

So, I think, we don't need "Found Yosemite (<= 10.10.4) EXT pattern: patched!". :thumbsup_anim:

BTW, how about to fix EXT for 10.12.x?

FYI.

PS: Reinstall 10.10.0 and update to 10.10.1, 10.10.2. 10.10.3, 10.10.4, 10.10.5 with dmg as below for each test.

OSXUpd10.10.1.dmg

OSXUpd10.10.2.dmg

OSXUpd10.10.3.dmg

OSXUpd10.10.4.dmg

OSXUpd10.10.5.dmg

Ok this one should fix:

  • loading extensions from EE in 10.12.x (I hope).
  • load Sierra's createinstallmedia installer
  • first step to load Web Drivers

about web drivers I need that you use the kernel flag 'nvda_drv=1' booting Sierra. For this I need the IOreg please..

Here work fine to load EE with 10.11.6(without -f), but not work with 10.12.3 (No EXT, need -f to load EE).

But I have problem to boot 10.12.3 now, the -v log screen become very slow..when show...get root device.

I still not find the root cause.

Still waiting for root device should be due to the USB limit port (you should patch AppleUSBXHCIPCI). I've redone the code again here is ok now.

I tested   boot_tetst4.zip

Removed FileNVRAM Module , reboot

Nvidia Web drivers loaded  without the chameleon  FileNVRAM Module  :)El Capitan , GREAT.

I dont use /E/E kexts, always in L/E oder /S/L/E - not vanilla but easy working.

It boots now much faster, that FileNVRAM module seems to slow down chameleon boot part massive.

i will test Sierra also later.

Thanks, maybe the error is here:

Will patch for 16.4.0 kernel version.

I'm looking for a Typo somewhere, that should be the problem; Anyway can you show me the output of this in 10.12.3?

uname -a

Now I'm going to update to 10.12.3 my self..

P.S.  KernelBooter_kexts=Yes is clearly working on your boot log.

EDIT

Yep, there's a typo: kernel 16.3.0 is for 10.12.2, so Sierra 10.12.3 has 16.4.0, but actually is associated with the wrong OS. Easy to fix

Also, must i use chameleon module KernelPatcher.dylib for your Enoch (2843 Micky1979 test 2 Web Drivers) ?  - i dont have any modules in use.
In El Capitan ist works without that module - but i want to ask.

then run this, and please post the log from the Terminal:

sudo rm -f /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/kernelcache && sudo kextcache -system-prelinked-kernel

I think that web drivers are not prelinked.. that patch is easy and I'm sure of that (Unable to patch NVDAStartupWeb.. = not present).

Also this mean that you have to load the kernel cache, w/o -f or UseKernelCache key/flag

EDIT

no kernelPatcher.dylib nor FileNVRAM.dylib please, if loaded Enoch will skip the internal patcher to avoid conflicts

mine is 20.5 Mb. I would like to take a look on your prelinkedkernel if possible, thanks.

BTW HWInfo.kext isn't for Clover only? :worried_anim:

This command: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/535-kextstatx86/ instead will show you also where kexts are loaded from (it tells you the path even if inside Extra/Extensions or EFI/CLOVER/kexts for ex.) and if prelinked

Great, that some devs also support Chameleon - which is at least for older / non UEFI Setups  much easier to config.

I dont fear any OS X updates up to 10.19 (black forrest)  now - chameleon will stay alive :)
