Onixs
I already boot with Graphics Mode=1366x768x32(my native resolution) Must i change this? in boot.plist one way to get rid of MALOC is that flag on ATI (your native res). you only put this if it worked on you. davidm71
Hi, I was wondering how come with one version of chameleon I can boot up with intel onboard raid enabled and can't with a newer version forcing ahci mode? Since I have a multiboot system hosting windows on my raid array. Second question how do you hide your windows drives from lion so you don't see that initialize or ignore mount message at startup? A thousand thanks!

The Real Deal
stpncpy -> strncpy Build succeeded. Thanks a bunch ------ Cham 2378 and a 4670K ----- When i fill MacPro5,1 in SMBoardversion, in geekbench it's shown in system information / motherboard (see attached image please) BUT it's not in real Mac Pro : http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench2/2446559 EDIT : for MacPro6,1 it seems to be there tough so nvm And how can i change Family for the W3565 ? It should be something like this (in hexa tough) according to SMBIOS reference specs : (quad or Multi-Core?) Intel® Xeon® processor 3500 Series (hex : D8h) / (Dec : 216) Upgrade ? What is the purpose ? And whatever i edit in my plist, i cannot change the QPI (need 4,8 purely cosmetic to mimic a MacPro5,1 mid 2010) Processor Information Socket Designation: LGA1366 Type: Central Processor Family: Other Manufacturer: Intel(R) Corporation ID: C3 06 03 00 FF FB EB BF Version: Not Specified Voltage: 1.2 V External Clock: Unknown Max Speed: 3200 MHz Current Speed: 3425 MHz Status: Populated, Enabled Upgrade: Socket BGA1155 L1 Cache Handle: 0x0049 L2 Cache Handle: 0x004A L3 Cache Handle: 0x004B Serial Number: Not Specified Asset Tag: Intel(R) Xeon(R) W3565 CPU @ 3.20GHz Part Number: Fill By OEM Handle 0x005C, DMI type 131, 6 bytes 0000: 83 06 5c 00 01 05 Apple specific Processor Type cpu=0501 Handle 0x005D, DMI type 132, 6 bytes 0000: 84 06 5d 00 38 63 Apple specific Processor Interconnect Speed 25400 MT/s Handle 0x005E, DMI type 127, 4 bytes 0000: 7f 04 5e 00 End Of Table
bdv
I am actually using a Barts Pro Sapphire HD6850 1GB (Vendor: 1002, Device: 6739) on this rig running osx 10.9.2 (genuine graphic kexts) and using GraphicsEnabler=yes. I do not have any DSDT edit for the graphic card. Graphic card is identified as Radeon HD6850 with the correct framebuffer (Duckweed) and number of ports (4). It drives 2 monitors, a 27"Viewsonic @2560x1440 via DP and 26" IIyama @1920x1200 via DVI, performance seems fine The only defect is the vram total size incorrectly reported as: VRAM,totalMB 0x16800400 Is it only cosmetic or should I do something to get a correct value?
ashindnile
Hey I've finally figured out why GraphicsEnabler doesn't work... Or at least I think i have... You see, earlier I asked this: { 0x9553, 0x3629103C, CHIP_FAMILY_RV710, "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4530", kShrike to be added to ati.c But my bios_decode says HP_CUJO_JONES_M92M_DDR3 M92 DDR3 64bit 500e/667m SubsystemVendorID: 0x103c SubsystemID: 0x3629 So is this the problem? would adding { 0x9553, 0x3629103C, CHIP_FAMILY_M92, "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4530", kShrike fix Memory allocation error and allow booting with GraphicsEnabler=y? Please let me know if these changes can be made and if they will be effective I can't compile chameleon myself because of the latest version of clutils that gives me unused function errors, and I can't seem to uninstall it. Thanks so much
nyolc8
Am I the only one who still can't get FaceTime to work with nvram ROM value set? FaceTime only activates if I set "4D1EDE05-38C7-4A6A-9CC6-4BCCA8B38C14:ROM" to completely empty. I tested, made video call it's working perfectly with empty ROM value. If I set ANYTHING (it doesn't matter if it's my LAN MAC address or just a single character or just an empty space or something else) to ROM value, then FaceTime just drops me back to login window over and over again and I can't login. I tried everything, I set my smbios to a whole new machine, even a different macmodel, tried to change each values one by one, tried to make an almost empty smbios.plist file with just macmodel and serial and some basic things... But it's only works if my ROM value is empty ._. Any other idea? (I don't want to use clover, I hate the 10sec waiting before even the boot menu appears with that...) ashindnile
What I did was activate facetime before using the nvram module.. and no problems after installation Have you tried that?
nyolc8
If I set ROM value then when I start FaceTime, it starts up with logged in state. But if I close FaceTime and reopen it, then it's turned off and can't turn it back on till I remove my ROM value.

JBX
Wondering... was there any change in Chameleon for working with "UseNvidiaROM"? I am just getting to Mavericks and test installed using 2.2svn-r2377. Only thing holding me back atm to move to Mavericks on main system, is I can not get dual monitors working. It is an MSI 8800GT 2xDVI and one is hooked up to my TV via DVI->HDMI cable. If I use "UseNvidiaRom" as in the past it dose not work and the boot hangs on gray screen. Am I missing something, please point me in the right direction. JBX
There's a chance you need to specify the correct PCI root Id as defined in BIOS DSDT. You can get it through Terminal command ioreg -l | grep -15 "AppleACPIPCI\ " | grep UID If returned value is different from 0, try and boot with PciRoot=x, where x is the returned value for _UID parameter. I have a 9800GT on one of my desktop and could not get fullQE/CI + dual screen until I sussed out that the default PCI root was set to 4 and I booted with Chameleon option PciRoot=4. I subsequently modified the DSDT to change PCI0 _UID parameter from 4 to 0, thereby removing the need to boot with the option. The value I get is 0. I am running on a clean/new DSDT with all patches for my motherboard applied except I did video card injection int chameleon.boot.plist as follows: (my old DSDT from ML had injection in it but would not work, so I decided to go this route this time). <dict> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>-f -v nvda_drv=1</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>5</string> <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>2048x1152x32</ string> <key>device-properties</key> <string>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</string> <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key> <string>Yes</string> </dict>
JBX
This is getting off-topic, you should move this to graphics section (and repatch your DSDT to reflect your 8800GT). By the way, if you use "UseNvidiaRom", you're supposed to provide a ROM file for your card. Is that the case? The above plist is what I am currently using without the ROM for 1 monitor. Adding the rom did not work. Anyway... I only posted here just to check if anyone knew if the issue was with the boot loader or the current version of it. In my search of the web, I have run into some talk of it. I have posted the issue here if anyone has any input. Thanks
