Dr. Hurt
You can try to boot with clover but without smbios patching (if it's possible of courese) and then get it in the same way as before. sebkulu
For me after iOS 7.0.3 update (iPhone 4) that isssue gone. I can login, no error now on my hackintosh. I have 7.0.3 on both my iPad mini and iPhone 5. I have a valid credit card bound tu my account. I have (I think) all the necessary values into NVRam and SMBios (MLB, REAL Mac Serial, Custom UUID...) Indeed my iMessage, at some point, has been able to re-connect although I couldn't for at least 3-4 weeks (before having installed iOS 7.0.3, and before having installed Mavericks...) Then I installed Mavericks over my 10.8.5 installation (to keep everything) and BOOM, no more iMessage with the BLOODY "Call Apple Support" error message AGAIN... I thought maybe it was because Apple was using now more values to check if the device is allowed to use iMessage service, but it seems that's not the case, or at least, not for everyone...? I mean, why the heck can someone else log into Message with his AppleID on MY build while I CANNOT? (i.e. my wife can, and it works...) And, of course, I can log into iMessage on my MacBook Pro/Air... So, definitely, there IS something missing with SMBios injector... Just my two cents... DarwinX
Some values you use doesn't match, e.g. MacBookPro5,1 and Pro-Enclosure. Use needed data from original MBP5,1 smbios dump, check spelling: SMboardassetag -> SMboardassettag (double t is correct) Duly noted. However, I am not familiar with the procedure of deriving the appropriate SMBios values from the original SMBios dumps. Perhaps you could point me in the right direction. Thus far, I have modified the SMchassisassettag value to MacBook-Aluminum based on this ErmaC posting: #1742 .
Bungo
... I mean, why the heck can someone else log into Message with his AppleID on MY build while I CANNOT? (i.e. my wife can, and it works...) ... Answer is above, that error is related to your AppleID. Log into your Apple ID account, check/correct and save your data, may be will help. If not create new Apple ID.

But who knows, I'll give it a shot. If it helps, I can post a SMBios dump from my real MacBook Pro.
Bungo
Duly noted. First choose as matched Mac model to your hardware as possible e.g. here, next get all hardware info about the model you'll be faking as you can find e.g. here. You'll need same hardware info from your PC on linux using e.g. this tool. Another useful app to get a hardware info is DarwinDumper. You need factory (not patched) smbios from your machine taken on Linux, Win or another method you prefer, next compare it with original one from choosen Mac model. You can extract it from IOregistry and decode using dmidecode for os x (described in posts to Dr. Hurt above). Look at original MBP5,1 smbios dump: # dmidecode 2.11b Handle 0x0000, DMI type 4, 35 bytes 0000: 04 23 00 00 03 03 01 02 76 06 01 00 ff fb eb bf 0010: 01 90 0a 01 60 09 60 09 41 04 02 00 ff ff ff ff Smith@@™
Look at original MBP5,1 smbios dump: # dmidecode 2.11b Handle 0x0000, DMI type 4, 35 bytes 0000: 04 23 00 00 03 03 01 02 76 06 01 00 ff fb eb bf 0010: 01 90 0a 01 60 09 60 09 41 04 02 00 ff ff ff ff ErmaC
@Bungo: Would it be possible to modify Chameleon to inject an entire SMBIOS image (ie. binary obtained form a real Mac) instead of obtaining and patching the stock one? The idea proposed by Bungo was/is exactly this... Maybe just give the ability (from smbios.plist ) to introduce the "custom" serial number and board serial number Fabio System Information Manufacturer: Apple Inc. Bungo
@Bungo: Would it be possible to modify Chameleon to inject an entire SMBIOS image (ie. binary obtained form a real Mac) instead of obtaining and patching the stock one? I sugested it several posts before (Post 1753). I'm not a programmer/coder but I'm sure it's possible. Aplying stock Apple Mac' SMBIOS doesn't make sense as if applying stock ACPI tables. I use both as reference only. Hi there, Here is my SMBios dump from MBP 11,2: ... Invalid entry length (0). DMI table is broken! Stop. Thanks but something's wrong with your dump. Very useful files are: IORegistry dump (.ioreg) and System Profiler dump (.spx).
Bungo
The idea proposed by Bungo was/is exactly this... Maybe just give the ability (from smbios.plist ) to introduce the "custom" serial number and board serial number Fabio We can inject both serials already. Chameleon Wizard can produce a custom system serial number (under SMBios tab). AFAIK board serial doesn't metter (it's only some string) as opposed to system serial. Using wrong system serial cause incorrect readout in Profiler (may be some other problems). My stand is to modify only some entries (not all) in smbios tables using exact stock Apple values.
sebkulu
Thx for sharing yours dmi output at least is exactly what we need.. now the curious thing is… the baseboard serial number differ in length from model to model??? Fabio So I double-checked, and you're right, the MLB is only a 17 digits string ! Just replaced value in my post I sugested it some posts before (Post 1753). I'm not a programmer/coder but I'm sure it's possible. Aplying stock Apple Mac' SMBIOS doesn't make sense as if aplying stock ACPI tables. I use both as reference only. Thanks but something's wrong with your dump. Very useful files are: IORegistry dump (.ioreg) and System Profiler dump (.spx). I also noted that something is quite not right at the very end of the file stating : "Invalid entry length (0). DMI Table is broken! Stop." But I extracted everything with DarwinDumper 2.8.6... So I don't know why that message... Anyway, how do I do to dump System Profiler? For IOReg, I think I have a valid dumper, but not for System Profiler, and DarwinDumper only produces TXT files to be used within the generated HTML GUI... We can inject both serials already. I have to disagree with you on the fact MLB isn't useful... A long discussion about that has been done in January/february 2013 around iMessage connection problems, and it seemed that only FileNVRAM containing a 17 digits MLB could do the job. I'll give you another example: I'm currently having the "Call Apple Support" popup when trying to log into iMessage, BUT if I change my MLB "on the fly" (meaning with NVRam commands without any reboot), and try to reconnect to iMessage, it WORKS! I mean, first time I try to reconnect, Message App seems to be searching (in vain) the iMessage server, which is never found, so I have to cancel. The second time though, it CONNECTS! Sure, I CAN'T send or receive any messages, but Message App says I'm connected, and I'm able to see my personal informations, and to modify them!!! So, for sure, MLB IS quite involved in some Apple processes.
Bungo
... So, for sure, MLB IS quite involved in some Apple processes. I eat crow, I didn't dig that problem deep enough . Anyway mixing values from different Mac models may cause similar problems (described e.g. here). To dump useful data open up: 1) IORegistryExplorer and next File, Save; 2) go to Programs-Tools menu, find SystemProfiler and next File, Save. I should have looked at that possibility first Before I do so, should I hide my Original Mac Serial Number in .spx file or should I not care because IT IS an original Mac? ^^

sebkulu
Ok, so short answer is : "I don't care" Here you are, see attached MacBook Pro 11,2 (file deleted)
Bungo
@sebkulu Thanks for sharing your files. Can you share SMC keys too (you can use DarwinDumper or SMC_util)? I did some research for iMessage issue. ...I have to disagree with you on the fact MLB isn't useful...A long discussion about that has been done in January/february 2013 around iMessage connection problems, and it seemed that only FileNVRAM containing a 17 digits MLB could do the job.I'll give you another example: I'm currently having the "Call Apple Support" popup when trying to log into iMessage, BUT if I change my MLB "on the fly" (meaning with NVRam commands without any reboot), and try to reconnect to iMessage, it WORKS!I mean, first time I try to reconnect, Message App seems to be searching (in vain) the iMessage server, which is never found, so I have to cancel. The second time though, it CONNECTS! Sure, I CAN'T send or receive any messages, but Message App says I'm connected, and I'm able to see my personal informations, and to modify them!!!So, for sure, MLB IS quite involved in some Apple processes. I did a test with changing MLB "on the fly" to "123456789ABCDEFG%00": adam-lap:~ adam$ sudo nvram 4D1EDE05-38C7-4A6A-9CC6-4BCCA8B38C14:MLB="1234567890ABCDEFG%00" Password: adam-lap:~ adam$ nvram -p boot-args IOPowerManagement <INVALID> IOPowerManagement:MaxPowerState %08%18`%e4 36C28AB5-6566-4C50-9EBD-CBB920F83843:preferred-networks %00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%04%00%03%00%08%00%00%00adamwifi%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%05%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00 %00%00%00Q%02%8b%01%ab%ccQ%b1!%98%f4%07%e4%c0%d23%dd%e5%98%1cwQ8%80%83KI~%b7%8b%1cA 36C28AB5-6566-4C50-9EBD-CBB920F83843:preferred-count 1 IOPowerManagement:CurrentPowerState %08%18`%e4 36C28AB5-6566-4C50-9EBD-CBB920F83843:current-network %00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%04%00%05%00%08%00%00%00adamwifi%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%05%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00 %00%00%00Q%02%8b%01%ab%ccQ%b1!%98%f4%07%e4%c0%d23%dd%e5%98%1cwQ8%80%83KI~%b7%8b%1cA 4D1EDE05-38C7-4A6A-9CC6-4BCCA8B38C14:ROM %ac%0f%bd%e0%83u 4D1EDE05-38C7-4A6A-9CC6-4BCCA8B38C14:MLB 1234567890ABCDEFG%00 bluetoothActiveControllerInfo T!\%0a%00%00%000%12%1a%00%19%0e%09%07a fmm-computer-name adam-lap SystemAudioVolume 7 backlight-level %9a%00 LocationServicesEnabled %01 iMessage still works. Without FileNVRAM works too. I noticed MLB is a string containing system/chassis (not motherboard) serial + some chars ended with %00.
blackosx
@sebkulu Thanks for sharing your files. Can you share SMC keys too (you can use DarwinDumper or SMC_util)? Just a quick note Bungo to say that link points to SMC_util v2 which fails to print all keys on real Macs. DarwinDumper contains all latest tool versions so the easiest option is to use it. However, if you want just the binary you can either simply copy it out of DarwinDumper or check the links to all tool sources at the foot of the DarwinDumper thread. Ok, so short answer is : "I don't care" Here you are, see attached MacBook Pro 11,2 Archive.zip Very kind of you to share your original Mac dumps with serial numbers, MAC address et all. I'm starting to think I shouldn't have ^^ Also, by sharing this with the community with the intention of helping, I really hope no one thinks about doing something wrong with my personal information ;-) Anyway, here are also SMC keys attached: SMC-keys.txt
blackosx
@sebkulu - Your intentions are good and I have no need for your shared info, but that's not to say somebody else won't use it. Personally I would remove it, but that's just me. DarwinDumper has a privacy option to mask any sensitive data if you're not sure.
