Dr. Hurt
What? The SMB issue is caused by nvram? I can log into my hackintosh using a real Macbook. Android (many different apps), keep saying "user not found". I'm using the nvram module. I keep getting the following in console: 10/25/13 11:22:04.735 AM digest-service[531]: label: default 10/25/13 11:22:04.736 AM digest-service[531]: dbname: od:/Local/Default 10/25/13 11:22:04.736 AM digest-service[531]: mkey_file: /var/db/krb5kdc/m-key 10/25/13 11:22:04.736 AM digest-service[531]: acl_file: /var/db/krb5kdc/kadmind.acl 10/25/13 11:22:04.781 AM digest-service[531]: digest-request: uid=0 10/25/13 11:22:04.825 AM digest-service[531]: digest-request: netr probe 0 10/25/13 11:22:04.826 AM digest-service[531]: digest-request: init request 10/25/13 11:22:04.835 AM digest-service[531]: digest-request: init return domain: HURTS-MAC-PRO server: HURTS-MAC-PRO indomain was: <NULL> 10/25/13 11:22:05.016 AM digest-service[531]: digest-request: uid=0 10/25/13 11:22:05.016 AM digest-service[531]: digest-request: init request 10/25/13 11:22:05.023 AM digest-service[531]: digest-request: init return domain: HURTS-MAC-PRO server: HURTS-MAC-PRO indomain was: <NULL> 10/25/13 11:22:05.609 AM netbiosd[528]: network address or mask changed for en0 Any help would be greatly appreciated. nyolc8
I reply here, to this post: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/293054-get-ilife-iwork-aperture-for-free/?p=1958484 I tested the "2266 SMBIOS SMB test" build and still no Board Serial Number showing up in System Profiler. With Clover, it's there. So not working... Edit: Also ioreg doesn't contains any 17 serial number or board serial number related thing. The only thing changed for me is that the FileNVRAM module is working again.

The only thing changed for me is that the FileNVRAM module is working again. Hi guys. I take a look at this, and I add all the empty field for the SMBIOS tables. Here my smbios.plist for reference (i remove the serial number.. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>SMbiosvendor</key> <string>Apple Inc.</string> <key>SMbiosversion</key> <string>MP51.88Z.007F.B03.1010071432</string> <key>SMbiosdate</key> <string>09/07/10</string> <key>SMmanufacturer</key> <string>Apple Inc.</string> <key>SMproductname</key> <string>MacPro5,1</string> <key>SMsystemversion</key> <string>1.2</string> <key>SMserial</key> <string>***********</string> <key>SMfamily</key> <string>MacPro</string> <key>SMboardmanufacturer</key> <string>Apple Inc.</string> <key>SMboardproduct</key> <string>Mac-F221BEC8</string> <key>SMboardserial</key> <string>C02140302D5DMT31M</string> <key>SMboardassetag</key> <string>Pro-Enclosure</string> <key>SMboardlocation</key> <string>Part Component</string> <key>SMboardchassismanufacturer</key> <string>Apple Inc.</string> <key>SMboardproductname</key> <string>MacPro5,1</string> <key>SMboardtype</key> <string>11</string> </dict> </plist> previusly here --> #34 I propose a quick test. nyolc8
Still no "processor tray serial number" in system profiler, and iWork updates still showing the "wrong apple id" error message with this test2 version. edit: for me in bdmesg, these two aren't getting populated: <key>SMboardassetag</key> <string>Pro-Enclosure</string> <key>SMboardlocation</key> <string>Part Component</string> Other new SMBios strings are populated. Any idea why these two aren't? edit2: SMboardtype is showing up as 0x20 in bdmesg. I set it to 11, so it should say 0xB. So I think that isn't get populated as well. much-much-much more datas for almost everything. Just look at the Base Board section for example... it's twice as long with clover. Also clover alters the processor a bit and adds serial number for it while chameleon not. And so on... KariNeko
Am I the only one who can't get baseboard's assetTagNumber, locationInChassis, and boardType? Mmmm It seems so. What happens when you use the same smbios plist provided by Fabio?
nyolc8
Mmmm It seems so. What happens when you use the same smbios plist provided by Fabio? I'll try to recreate the smbios, and reinstall chameleon files again tomorrow. Btw I have much more keys and values in my smbios than in Fabio's, maybe that is the problem. nyolc8
Still no joy: Recreated the smbios.plist, reinstalled chameleon, and those two values didn't getting injected, and the 3rd one is not 11 (0xB). Can someone with a macpro3,1 smbios could test this?
Peter_sm
Yesterday I did a new smbios.plist from Cham wizard, this plist have all necasary data, included the "new" lines ( see below) SMboardserial (17 digit length)SMboardassetag *SMboardlocation Part ComponentSMboardchassismanufacturer same as for SMbiosvendor, SMmanufacturer and SMboardmanufacturerSMboardproductname same as for SMproductnameSMboardtype (value = 10 for all Model, value = 11 MacPro model) So am I wrong or missing something? is Cham Wizard OK when generating new smbios.plist? //Peter

Bungo
Hi, IMHO smbios patcher needs rewriting afresh, because gives many problems with injecting data. My idea is creating an application (SMeditor) that allows reading factory smbios data and patching/editing them and next generating a binary file for chameleon to load it instead of parsing smbios.plist during every boot. In this case chameleon don't losing time on every boot. What do you thing? Could some one take a challenge?

nyolc8
So it looks like my issue is not related to macpro3,1 smbios... But then what can cause it? Dr. Hurt have the same issue too... But as Bungo said, maybe there would be need to rewritten the whole smbios reading and injecting system... To get something like in clover.
