Great, thanks.

Should I use Xcode3.2 or Xcode4.0.1 versions?

Sorry, I'm not sure what are differences between those.

The only difference is the version of XCode they are compiled with; if you get any problems with the XCode 4 version,

revert to the XCode 3 one and report the problems. This was done to debug problems caused by XCode 4 compilation.

The actual code seems to have no XCode 4 compilation problems.

I also like to use terminal, but I hoped that it could be comfortable ...

Well, i don't use Terminal to edit plist's; either Textmate (or other decent editor) or Property List Editor, with plists

that a normal editor can't handle... that's it.

I first (for testing) change permissons for org.chameleon.Boot.plist:

Maybe that's the problem!?... don't do it! That will only make you go through another step to edit the file.

Chameleon it self, doesn't care for file permissions.

Do You have any version with switched on (extended) Log-Files? So I can search and report better?

Nope... i don't even know if the debug build has any debug stuff :P

As a side note; i was not the creator of the pane; all i do is keep it in a minimal working conditions.

Other wise, i'm just a normal user and as i told, not a very frequent one.

There was a time when i got interested on the project and did some testing; these days all i can do is take a look,

confirm a problem and if i have time, try to fix it. And i can't confirm the problems you're having :)

Hi Guys,

Not sure whether someone raised this before, so don't shoot me.

You may aware that FaceTime doesn't work in Lion. This is the case for mackintoshes and some real Macs.

It transpires that reverting back to Chameleon RC5-755 fixes FaceTime for Lion.

The question, what fixes it?

Cheers

Does the later version of Chameleon above 1078 in OSX Lion need set Usekernelcache=yes. In verbose mode it keeps running as though I manually initiated -f at the prompt and increases the boot time.

Does the com.apple.Boot.plist need to be renamed to org.chameleon.Boot.plist for OSX Lion?

Thanks

I tried r1226 but it failed to initialise C and P States. This one also didn't detect the custom theme I am using.

t am running r1083 right now it works fine. is this somehow related to renaming boot.plist?

And finally, any idea why many people are having problem with FaceTime and for now only solution seems to be r755, which is also the case for me.

The server encountered an error processing registration. Please try again later.

Details are here.

Thanks,

Do I need to generateCStates=yes if I use CSTUsingSystemIO=yes in org.chameleon.Boot.plist for the latest trunk? Is this new feature for Sandy bridge only?

Thanks

I installed this on the Lion partition. It definitely boots Lion and Snow Leopard....but for some reason it killed the HDMI connection for my monitor in SL.

Please, if you use the installer, be sure to take precautions, since the scripts have not been tested to much.

I DLed that last .pkg but non worked:

Pacifist can't open any Xcodce 4.0.1 / 4.1 1379.pkg (error: BOM...) and also the installer stalls if i double click that .pkg.

How to use that new stuff, i have Lion.

You need to show package contents first then you can extract contents

OK. But how to use that lots of .pkg inside the .pkg compared to the "normal" allinone RC5 .pgk?

Or are they only for devs to make an ready to run .pkg?
