I will confirm this, and have things up and running 98%. However, PLEASE NO TALK ABOUT INSTALLING 10.7.0 LION USING ANY METHOD PLEASE!!!!! 10.7.0 is a developer's release, one you have to sign up and pay for. ANY illegal downloading of this release, and ANY talk about how to install on non-Apple computers seriously puts the community, this forum included, at serious risk. When the developer's release of Snow Leopard came out and people were talking about how to install on non-Macs got several forums, including InsanelyMac, shut down for a few days with threats of legal action from Apple's mightier than Mr. Burn's legal team! Please be patient. :P

for chameleon and Lion i seen this on netkas.org:

 

Got chameleon working with Lion.

Here’s how:

Get lion booting on real mac / xpc hackintosh

Install “Xcode 4.1 Developer Preview for Mac OS X Lion” (you need to be registred dev)

Checkout chameleon from voodooprojects

Grab the meklort branche

Change sdk root to 10.7 in makefile (need for new boot_args struct and boot args version)

Change in drivers.c the new mkext path

Copy the ufs folder from Snow from /usr/include to lion, Chameleon needs it

Then CD to meklort folder

make clean

make

 

That’s it, compiled it for Lion.

Isn’t backwards compatible with Snow, it’s up for the Chameleon team for fixing that.

 

With Snow headers it reboots, but with Lion headers it works of course.

On some configs it doesn’t boot and you’re stuck here:

Have to figure out that panic, does work on Gigabyte EP45T-UD3l.

 

Credits go to Chameleon team for bootloader, patch by me.

I now fully appreciate the elegance and ease of Chameleon boot loader. I tried both [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] and XPC loaders mentioned here and other forums, but to no success. I kept getting KP because of the lack of Fakesmc. The trouble is, I cannot go back to reinstate different flags such, as -s to manually configure fakesmc since [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] is so finicky. I can only get it to boot to GUI screen only twice in two days.

I guess I need to wait a little longer for the Chameleon team to release the proper version that can handle Lion. I am done with it for now!

Put in your com.apple.Boot.plist this:

I guess with everyone concentrating on bootloaders for Lion at the moment, nobody has posted the recent update to the Chameleon trunk.

Hi dear blackosx, or Fabio please tell me, just I can replace the boot file in root? Or something related to boot0hfs?. Because, I have win7 (disk0s3) as ACTIVE partition, and I want to keep it of that way.

 

I think is better replace always the "3" binaries... (in my opinion).

 

The changes in this revision are into the boot0.s code link (same as blackosx point)

Why it was updated?

- 10 days 12 hours Issue 65, Nvidia GT 420, only 512MB of 1GB detected and only HDMI port works(from the chameleon forum affcourse)

 

But althougt it say's its fixed , it's not : still in system profiler nvidia gt 420 shows as 512 not as 1024 mb

I have ATI 4770 after updating to Chameleon_2.0_RC5_r643 my display turn to black after booting, no errors on booting so i think the problem is with my Graphic card.

tried many different boot files with no luck, everything was working fine before i update so what have i done wrong ?

I hope they're not deemed too big for small screen sizes, and if so I can either reduce their size
(which I don't really want to do), or lower the mac_devices further.[/size]

If you use the Chameleon graphics injection option (GraphicsEnabler=Yes), perhaps the Chameleon.pkg installer had overwritten your preexisting com.Apple.boot.plist with the default values as it has been known to do. It is just a shot in the dark considering that you've provided no supporting data.

I'm not using Chameleon graphics injection i use EVOenabler as injector, i checked Apple.boot.plist no changes were made.

Anyway i reinstalled the sys but still wondering what the problem was coz i almost tried everything !

i7 2600k

 

if i use anvalv bootloader (rev709) with nullcpu... i get 14k score in geekbench...

if i use anvalv bootloader (dsdt+appleintel) without nullcpu... i get only 6k score in geekbench....

if i use chamaleon rev752 with nullcpu or without it, i get audio and screen lag, but i get 33k score in geekbench...

 

i've also tried to change smbios (imac11,3, macpro3,1...with macpro5,1 i get kp)

 

how can i solve?

Am I blind?

 

It says "Installer based on Chameleon 2 RC5 rev. 753 (Trunk 753)" in the Opening Post, but I cant find the download anywhere.

 

Also are there Problems with C2Quad Processors in this release?
