[How to] Setting Your Partition "Active" Using Fdisk in MacOSX

Anyone please help me , i got stuck here :

When i typed diskultil list , here's the list :

If I wanted to choose the number 3 in disk 0 , it means the Ace drive . So which 1 should i choose in the "p chart" below here ? (after i types fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0 )

Any advices will be appreciate

Looks like the partition table on Disk0 has ben damaged.

Some partitions look like its missing.

You can only boot from the first 4 primary partitions.

When you format Disk0, how many partitions did you make and what type?

Em.. 4 . But nvm , the last partition , which is F , is dead . I dont know why ,can't recover can;'t format , can't do anything ?

Ok, hope this helps someone out. I discovered that in my particular case, the system did not boot without an [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] CD due to the fact that my partition was over 1TB. So dropping my partition to 1tB made it boot perfectly. Found this out on tonymacx86 forums FYI.

Hi there, I've just followed the guide, but I still have the same problem after the instalation when I boot:

 

Boot0 MBR

Boot0 done

Boot1 error

Can anyone tell me if the disk where the partition is is the number 0 and the MACOSX partition is the number 1. 'Cause this is how I configured it, and I'm not sure it's correct.

When i type p it`s say: command not found ? Please HELP

 

You must write

"fdisk(space)-e(space)/dev/rdisk0" <- replace 0 if necessary

 

before you write the command p

if i try to write a new mbr i get something alike:

 

not found usr/standalone/...

 

i tried with -f /Volumes etc. path to boot0? which one from the install dvd? using boot0 from my partition doesn't change a thing

Then type: sudo fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0, then enter your system password.

Does anybody have a tool or wizard which can be ported to bootable usb?

Which shows the active partition and can change it.
