This is the second hackintosh I'm building, and the first on an AMD. When I try to boot up after chameleon it automatically reboots. If I use -x, chameleon pauses at "ACPI table not found, No DSDT found, using 0 as hid value" and sits there. I'm using the cd method, and my computer specs are:

Acer Aspire 4530

AMD Athlon X2 64

NVIDIA GEForece 9100M G

4gb RAM

Please help!

hey um try going to bios and setting your clock time. do you have ahci on? AMD C1E off?

also since you have a lappy im guessing you dont have OC(overclocking)? try finding your busratio (OC multiplier) in bios, should be some number 10- 20 maybe higher or lower. then at boot type busratio=XX

XX being the number

and also if you do have OCing in your bios try upping the FSB by 5

these are all things that made some peoples boot.

I have my clock set to central time, and ahci is also turned on. Does my clock need to be in a different time zone? I have no options at all for AMD C1e in my bios, and I cannot overclock. For the busratio, I've tried 16, 18, and 20.

I've tried busratio= 5, 10-18, and 20. I keep getting the same kernel panic. I've also changed my BIOS clock to UTC. I'm pretty sure my busratio is 10 since my clock speed is 2ghz and my external speed is 200mhz. Is the cd not taking my flags?

So I've tried newcom's mod cd on my computer, and I get stuck in the reboot loop. I've tried it on another laptop that is also amd, and it boots up fine. Is there anyway to get this working on my computer?

I'm not sure if this helps, but here is the information that comes up right before the kernel panic. The flags I used were: "-x -v busratio=10 fsb=200"

try -x -v Busratio=10 fsb=200 RestartFix=Yes

case sensitive FSB or fsb not sure which one

Can anyone please help me: my system spec is below -

amd phenom 2 x6 1090t

gigabyte ga-890fxa-ud5 rev 2.1 BIOS F6

g. skill 2x2 gb ddr3 ram

western digital caviar black 1tbx2 in raid0

gigabyte gtx460 1gb oc

i am using a ps/2 keyboard and a generic usb mouse.

i tried the following distros:

iAtkos S3 v2

Leo Hazard 10.6.6i

Retail Snow leopard 10.6.3

using the following bootcd:

Nawcom's latest bootcd

and EmpireEFI boot cd

the problem is mouse is not working at the welcome install page and so i can't continue the installation.

in verbose mode, the following error is coming multiple times

USBF x.xx AppleUSBOHCI..... CheckSleepcapability : Device will be unloaded across sleep

I don't know where the problem is, but nawcom bootcd is so amazing that it loaded ps/2 driver and i can use ps/2 mouse on my office's pc, the mouse works just from the installation phase but on my above home pc, the usb mouse is not detected.

I then tried both USB keyboard and mouse, but same message is coming. Then tried disabling USB legacy and USB 3.0 from bios, but no solution.

I tried installing osx in vmware and mouse is fine. the install is very smooth too.

Please help me how make USB works, as if one is ps/2, then i need one usb either for keyboard or mouse to contimue installation.

there is one guy here who is using similar setup like mine, just 890g mobo instead of 890fx, but same gigabyte brand. I don't know why it is not working for me.

ok i would say try voodooPS2 kext (better support for using both PS@ and USB at the same time) but you seem to have USB issues no matter if you a USB mouse/keyboard or not so. we either need to do some usb mods in your DSDT or get a new USB kext to fix it.

So how you are going to help me? And even if I get VoodooPs2 kext, how will i use it during installation? do i need to slipstream the kext to install DVD? if so then how to do that since Windows 7 does not show mac DVD contents and I have no other mac nearby. And how/where to get the DSDT for my motherboard?

"So how you are going to help me?"

haha you sound so demanding

we'll try the DSDT first, go to windows download DSDTSE for windows, then click get DSDT, then once it loads click compile dsdt. a explorer window will pop up, give me the just made DSDT file.

thanks!

Hi there. Need some help.. I managed to install it. After it rebooted after install, my PC was stuck at boot, nothing came up on the screen. So I had to Clear my CMOS. Then I went through the initial setup and tried to install Chameleon with The installer. After I rebooted, I had to clear my CMOS AGAIN to get it to start up again. Then after that I booted with -v -f and I got left with a blank screen. I remembered to change settings after clearing for SATA. But I need to stop the problem where I have to keep clearing my CMOS with ther jumpers. It's quite annoying everytime I try to reboot. Thanks!! :)

I was not allowed to upload attachment, so uploaded at mediafire: here they are Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD5 DSDT

I ran the DSDTSE, clicked "Extract DSDT", new window compiled, got two files with extension dsl and aml. Please check them.
