ratroder
so after installing mac osx again and up dating to 10.6.5 i had no problems at all, yay . but then i up dated again to 10.6.6 and that is where the problems occurred. i am updating itunes to maybe solve that issue . @oops_ur_dead once you boot to the cd are you ejecting the boot cd and then loading in the retail snow leperd disk and then letting it load and pressing f5? the only time i would get that is when i booted the boot cd file. ratroder
well apparently apple dropped the ball and hasn't updated itunes to run on 10.6.6 yet or something. i got an error message saying: contact the software's publisher and find out if this software is compatible with this version of the operating system. dam. is there any way to downgrade to 10.6.5? @oops_ur_dead: well then yo don't have to worry about what i was saying. ratroder
well today i turned on my computer to find that the system was working fine, itunes and all . so i continued about my way; installing the kexts that i neede to install. got the audio working and all . but things were just going too easily. after i installed the nvenabler kext the debugger keeps calling a double panic upon attempted boot from the ssd or boot cd 1.5. there are three images of the screen that boot stops at. also i have some times got a restart loop with an attempted boot but all end in the same spot. so therefore i presume that i need to remove the nvenabler kext file. but how should i go about that considering that i can not boot mac osx and i can't see the ssd in windows? fundrunkpirate
Good day everyone Yesterday I upgraded my AMD system to the version 10.6.6 and used a nawcom's 10.6.6 kernel pkg, which did a force 64bit kernel installation. But, 64bit support in the AMD legacy kernel is, imho, buggy and horrible, and i can't get to the 32bit now. Even using an arch=i386 boot flag results 64bit system. Changing the flag won't boot the system at all. Is there a solution for that?
vbetts
One of the big issues I've found is the ACPI error, even which I was getting it on my AMD system. Is there anyway I could patch a copy of my DSDT into the boot CD? ratroder, try booting with pciroot=1. fundrunkpirate=Try -legacy

vbetts
If it's 4200 on board, then I don't believe QE/CI is supported on it.
shusuke028
Alright, I'm about to build a Hackintosh using a couple new parts and some parts I have just hanging around the house. Would this configuration work with this install? Motherboard: ASUS M4A785-M CPU: AMD Sempron unlocked to AMD Athlon X2 Video Card: Geforce 8400 GS (or 9500 GT?) (are both fully supported?) Memory: 2 GB DDR2 667 Mhz so, given this information. Would my pc be supported with no problem? And what install method should I use? EDIT: Also, since the motherboard has an onboard ATI Radeon HD 4200. Could I use that with Mac? (QE/CI enabled)? Trying to save money where possible..... Scratch that... just saw the post above mine lol

shusuke028
If you have a retail distro, try the nawcom bootcd. Could you please post a link to where I can download the latest? Because when I try to google it, and access the page it seems to be on, I get a page loading error. (And i do have internet) EDIT: Alright, I got on the site. now I'm wondering, is NAWCOM's mod cd 0.3.1.iso what I need to download? Or do I need nawcombootcd.iso?
