xxmacmanxx
Hi there, I decided to set up a new PC system. I'll dual boot it with Snow Leopard and Windows 7. But first of all I need to know if my selected hardware will work properly. I really would appreciate it to install the retail Snow Leopard with tonymac's ##### and #####. End of talking, here we go, my system: -------------------------------------------- Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P55-USB3 CPU: Intel i5-750 Graphic: 512MB Gainward GeForce GT220 GDDR3 PCIe Main Storage: 2x2048MB Kingston Value DDR3-1333 CL9 Kit or 2x2048MB G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3-1333 CL7 Kit (which one is better supported?) Hard Drive: Samsung HD502HJ F3 SpinPoint 500GB -------------------------------------------- Greetings, xxmacmanxx Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/226603-is-my-selected-hardware-compatible/ Share on other sites

Hard Drive: Samsung HD502HJ F3 SpinPoint 500GB -------------------------------------------- Greetings, xxmacmanxx I can weigh in on the motherboard since I'm trying to do a hackintosh with one right now using Tonymac's method (#####, #####). It seems as though revision 2 of that motherboard (which is what I received last week and probably what you would get now) may not be as compatible. I'm pretty sure they changed the audio codecs and possibly the networking as well so the existing ##### methods don't seem to get you all the way there. There might be other similar boards that will work better, but I can't say which. But I am aware of a couple of people, myself included, who are having difficulty with rev 2 of that MB.
