geticus
Try disabling P states, leave C states only.I have the same problem with Geekbench on my other computer. Thank you XLR I don't think P-states or C-states are activacted, I mean I didn't do it in com.apple.boot.plist. Are they by default ?

MaLd0n
Unofficial installer Chameleon v2.0-RC5 r498 Chameleon_v2.0_RC5_r498.zip this installer activates the selected target partition. FKA
In about this Mac it shows the memory at correct speed. In more info --> Memory - shows 960. And I have only 1 Extra folder Dont know if this will help but I had a similar problem some time ago with an MSI board. There is a RAM setting in BIOS called 'Enhanced Setting' - I needed to enable it else I got screwed up RAM sizes reported in system profiler. See post #907 here EDIT - Also is it possible you have tried an EFI partition Chameleon install at some point so that you have and Extra folder hidden on your EFI partition and one at / ?? To check EFI partition: mkdir /Volumes/EFI mount_hfs /dev/diskXs1 /Volumes/EFI Where X is replaced with your boot drive number And to unmount EFI umount /Volumes/EFI (If this fails, do umount -f /Volumes/EFI). rm -rf /Volumes/EFI D

Gringo Vermelho
That's a shortcut (see the little arrow). If you can't open it, at least check where it leads to. Right-click, get info. Open Terminal.app and type diskutil list. if you see an EFI partition, then type the commands FKA posted above to mount it and see what's on it. Replace the X with the drive number shown in the output from diskutil. If you have something on there, that would explain all the weirdness that we have been trying to sort out. iRipper
I don't have an EFI partition. Could it be that I might have 2 Chameleons installed? I know MaLd0n's installer drops files in var-->standalone-->i386 iFabio's installer drops them in /-->Binaries Can we have a unified installer? And can we have boot files in Extra folder? mitch_de
TO the devs: Maybe the idee of an new key for setting VID (CPU 800mV + VID mVolts) a bit up may take to long. But what if some dev puts some // code lines at the right places in which shows how to rise the VID with an FIXED (coded) VID PLus ? So all VID of each PState gets this Plus (16 mv Steps for my knowledge). Fur sure also an negative fixed coded VID minus would so be makeable. Would be nice to have such an preFinal VID OC/UC Ptates Generator.

mitch_de
OK, such things (configurable by key/plist for PStates VID,... ) would be even better than hardcoded VID plus. By the way, the later(last 2 weeks) builds work very well with Pstates + C-States generation. Only my moderate OCed (20%) C2D dont like the then little to low VIDs. I stay now unOCed, no problem. How to dump SSDT (running OS X) with that Pstates Table and the VID entries. How can i find the VID entries in that table. My PSS in old DSDT looks like that: For example : Package (0x06) { 0x07CE, 0xB341, 0x0A, 0x0A, 0x0614, /// multilpier 6* VID =14 (14Hex * 16mV + 800(725?) mV = CPU mVolts), Highest(Pstate0) VID=22Hex 0x06 } How can i find that line ( 0x0614 in my case, generator will have little less VID for 6* like 13,12, or 11Hex) in an dumped SSDT. And if i modd them , how can i use this ? I think i must use iasl to compile that ssdt.aml. But is that dumped SSDT (which gets modded in VIDs) ascii or hex. I dont know exact to use iaslMe with such non ascii (readable code). Thanks - perhaps others are interested to rise VIDs for OC by this way. Not the same but I was thinking about the generated SSDT tables being cached for subsequent boots so that the table doesn't have to be created at every boot? FKA
Hi Guys I have this problem also. I think I'm up to r361. Was there ever a solution? sorry if ive missed it. @Blackosx - I went with 3, two dives and the RAID text. very nice Ta! D Getting back to this: No UUID present in SMBIOS System Information Table [ERROR] UUID='0123456789ABCDEF' syntax error Customizing SystemID with : I've been having a look through Everest and can't find a system UUID in Windows either! In fact most of the DMI values return 'To Be Filled By OEM". My NIC is seen as built-in due to my DSDT edits, so having no system UUID in BIOS isn't a problem as the UUID can be taken from the NICs' MAC address. However I'm using a USB Bluetooth dongle which is seen as external and this is leading to UUID errors (Error 35), system hanging etc etc .. . Now I could add a DSDT entry for the BT dongle but I don't know how to do this! Or I could have edited networkinterfaces.plist as described here to show BT dongle as built-in. The problem here is obvious - and any new network device I add to my system that is not "built-in" is going to through up UUID errors. Hence I'm now using SystemId=XXXXXXXX in boot.plist. Obviously this is nothing to do with the booter and is down to my BIOS (using Beta UEFI). To correct I need to use DMI editor and add System UUID to my BIOS ROM. Hope this helps anyone with similar errors. D
