Gringo Vermelho
Now we're getting somewhere! I'm guessing you have no SSDT tables to extract because you're overclocking. Overclocking automatically disables speedstepping and other ACPI CPU power management features on ASUS boards. Disable your overclock and enable all advanced CPU features in the BIOS, except "Max CPU ID Value Limit" and "Single Logical Processor Mode". Refer to page 22-23 of your motherboard manual. Then try running Everest again, the SSDT tables should hopefully appear...? If not then I have no idea what's going on.
iRipper
Nope. All advanced features enabled, except Max CPU ID. My BIOS doesn't show anything about Single Logical Processor. No overclock. No SSDT or HPET tables show in Everest. All the same In OS X AppleHPET and AppleLPC are NOT loaded.
Gringo Vermelho
This can't be happening. lol Enter the BIOS again, set "AI Overclock Tuner" to "Auto" and enable ACPI APIC and ACPI 2.0. Then try again. I'm using a paid version of Everest Corporate Edition, I noticed you're using Ultimate. Does anybody know if you have to pay for Everest in order for it to dump SSDT tables? It seems odd to lock out something like that - but I guess it's possible. In the meantime, try the Corporate edition as well.
iRipper
Overclock on Auto and running default 2.0 GHz. Adding ACPI 2.0 support adds XSDT table in Everest So how come I can boot with and without DSDT.aml? Is this normal and common? Corporate Everest shows the same:
Gringo Vermelho
I can boot with no DSDT as well, since using Chameleon 2.0 RC5 from this thread. If you've tried everything I said, then I really don't understand what's going on. Did you enable ACPI 2.0 and ACPI APIC? I edited my post several times, so you might have missed that part. EDIT hmm yes you did.. well at least you got an XSDT table, that's got to count for something. You can try booting with a Linux Live CD (I recommend this: http://www.linuxmint.com/edition.php?id=52 ) and run ACPIDump to get your SSDT tables - there's a guide somewhere around here that will show you how. Now for the famous last straw - maybe it's a bit drastic, but I'm out of ideas. Do a CMOS reset. Unplug the power supply from the mains, take out the motherboard battery, close the CLRRTC jumper on the motherboard (refer to your motherboard manual) and leave it like this for 5 minutes. Then do it in reverse (power supply last). When you start it up again, enter the BIOS and enable ACPI 2.0, ACPI APIC and make sure all advanced CPU features (except CPUID Limit) are enabled and that the AI Overclock thing is set to Auto. Then boot into Windows and try Everest again.
oldnapalm
In OS X AppleHPET and AppleLPC are NOT loaded. What's the device ID of your LPC device?
Gringo Vermelho
On desktop ICH7 it's 27B0 (ICH7-DH) or 27B8 (regular ICH7). Any idea why he has no SSDT tables??
oldnapalm
So maybe he's missing the LPC patch in DSDT? May not be the cause of the KP, but it's worth the try. I also changed the HPET device like it's done in some Gigabytes boards (not needed in my Asus) and removed IRQs from PIC and TMR. dsdt.aml.zip
iRipper
Removing CMOS battery did nothing, Everest still gives me a finger and shows the same tables. Oldnapalms modded DSTD allows AppleHPET and AppleLPC to load, but I still get a KP without CPUManagement.
Gringo Vermelho
Mystery of the week! Take a photo of the KP and attach it here.
iRipper
I made teh photos. Will upload them tomorrow, cuz I can't find the camera cable. Regular boot gives a KP with the standard message to reboot in different languages. I took a couple Verbose boot photos too. My CPU temps are about 40 C in both OS X and Windoze
iRipper
Okay, so I used this Python script to extract tables straight from OS X and SSDT and SSDT-1 tables were generated. Is it what I need? Gringo Vermelho
It looks like you have dumped the SSDT tables that are generated by the bootloader ("SSDT with CPU C/P-States generated successfully"), not the ones from your BIOS! Delete Disabler.kext from /Extra/Extensions - there's no need for Disabler.kext when you're already using NullCPUPM.kext. This must be why Deleting NullCPUPM.kext doesn't work for you - Disabler.kext takes over and does the same thing. Are you still overclocking? Your RAM speed looks wrong so...either you're still overclocking, you have odd values in /extra/smbios.plist or there's a bug in Chameleon. Please don't overclock until we get this working. iRipper
I need the Disabler or I get jumpy lag in iTunes and Quicktime, because I have 8800GT card. I have tried to delete both Disabler and CPU M - KP

iRipper
It's a Disabler made by Stellarola, it blacklists 2 or 3 things, the lag and CPU M so I could update without KP.
Gringo Vermelho
Then you're going to have to modify it so that it doesn't disable AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext. Attach it here and I'll do it for ya

Gringo Vermelho
No it's fine, it only disables AppleUpstreamUserClient, like Oldnapalm said. Usually Disabler.kext kills AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement as well but not this one. We still need to see a photo of the Kernel Panic in verbose mode. You can delete the two SSDT files you dumped from /Extra, they are not needed. zip up and attach your /extra/com.apple.Boot.plist and smbios.plist. Gringo Vermelho
Raul: We need to see output from LSPCI -nn. Get LSPCI here: http://www.osx86.es/?p=620 iRipper: I've polished your Mac Pro smbios.plist a bit, added more Mac Pro DMI data, and removed redundant memory and bus speed settings - Chameleon 2.0 RC5 takes care of that now. I removed DropSSDT=y from com.apple.Boot.plist since you're not overriding SSDT tables - you don't have any (very strange). PCIRoot 0 is the Chameleon default so that's not needed either, plus you're using a Device Properties string for graphics anyway which already sets the correct PCIRoot (otherwise it would not be working for you). I've set EthernetBuiltIn=Yes as well. I rebuilt your Extensions.mkext, it seemed to be corrupt, I could not unpack it. I hope the changes I made will help fix your Kernel Panic. Try it and see if it's any better. iRipper_Extra.zip
