Hi Everyone,

Since MacPro specs are now extremely high and it will be hard to match the 8 cores I have been thinking that even with this problem all MacPros are expensive.

Would I be able to sell a pre-built Hackintosh/ Frankintosh (yes, I know there's a difference) on ebay with a legal copy of Snow Leo and NOT be sued or whatever?

A Frankintosh would cost the buyer more but presumably work better with proper updates etc. so:

1) Which do you think is better Hack/ Frank?

2) How can I market this in the UK legally & sell on ebaY? (Wording, using apple stickers etc)

3) any specs anyone would recommend for Franks?

thanks. :(

P.S. Admins etc - Sorry, I have DP'd I wasn't sure which to post in - http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=224674

PearC sells Hackintoshes for one or two years in Germany, shipping all over European Union, and Apple didn't warn them yet. IMO, it's not illegal, considering UE laws against software patents, but it certainly is in a grey zone and I'm pretty sure eBay won't let you.

Psystar shut down last year, after a lawsuit with Apple, but it appears that Apple's EULA isn't valid within the European Union. That's why PearC hasn't received any complaint from Apple yet, and probably won't. Losing a settlement would do more harm than keeping them around.

Perhaps the looming 'Digital Economy Bill' will counter that....

Its seems that soon, a rights holder only has to point a finger at a suspect and then the plod come knocking with a warrant!
