I started from http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/289062-109-mavericks-simple-vanilla-hackintosh-install-guide/ everything is OK until point 10 included. I confirm you must put GraphicsEnabler=No In /Extra/com.apple.Boot.plist on USB key. Installation goes fine but first reboot gives KP. So you need to launch an other OS (I used Snow) in order to add some kexts. I have a ATI 5770 so I needed AMDRadeonX3000.kext and ATI5000Controller.kext in /S/L/E/ If you want Ethernet you need RealtekRTL81xx.kext in /S/L/E/ If you want ATA DVD to work you need JMicron36xATA.kext in /S/L/E/ Of course you need FakeSMC. Kext & NullCPUPowerManagement.kext in /S/L/E/ If you want sound: don’t put any DSDT.aml in /Extra and you need AppleHDA.kext (modified) and HDAEnabler.kext (From tonymac…) All .kexts are in folder http://ul.to/9x2okqqm Of course copy each .kext in /S/L/E/ When in there #chown –R root:wheel xxx.kext && chmod –R 755 xxx.kext You can’t install chameleon from Maverik (Forbidden !) so do it from other OS and watch the install log (in Maverik partition). You may need some adjustments as indicated in the log. reboot option –f it’s done, you are in Maverick 10.9HD_DP5 all working PS: There is also an update floating on the web 10.9_13A510D If you try to install it : catastroph at reboot=shutdown you'd better make a backup before test ! I used kextutility 2.5.1 (mountain Lion) for kexts manual insertion. tdk1007 Posted September 24, 2014 Share Posted September 24, 2014 I'm on Mavericks and haven't had any noticeable issues. Anyone else eyeing the GTX 970? Looks like people are using integrated graphics to boot into the OS and then installing the web drivers. Too bad I don't have integrated graphics! Maybe we can target boot over firewire to install them? I really don't want to buy a new motherboard and processor just to get a more current GPU (currently using a ATI HD 4870). leon321 Posted March 23, 2015 Share Posted March 23, 2015 Hello a few posts above (646) I had random problems using my ATI 5700. Hack frozen, only reboot as exit. In system log a lot of things about graphic card. I found the easy solution. Just update graphic card Bios to last version and problem never comes back. So here is my Share I am running EL Caption with Clover boot loader and FH BIOS on the board. U will find serval guides on google ore tony how to install clover and create a boot-drive. I think I can't link tony here so I am giving you my EFI-Partion and my Clover Config and DSDT NOTE !!!
