kizwan
would u mind catching the SSDT in question and post it here. valv
These are the Dell Studio SSDTs tables:-Studio1557_SSDTs.rar thanks, but those are not from the auto-generator. they seem to be oem's.as shown on my boot.plist, try to remove oemSSDT and dropSSDT keys altogether (not only changing there values to no); then use the generator of both p and c-states. After reboot, look at loaded tables (e.g. with help of DSDTSE).

Time2Retire
I, myself don't use acpi_smc_pp anymore Which basically means that you'll end up with the much longer Apple variant. For all hardware. Making the boot process take longer. Or did you strip the original? BTW: i3 and i5 folks should see a much lower core temperature, as low as 27 degrees centigrade for a core in a higher C state. Mine here is at 27~30 degrees. p.s. When are you planning to update the source tree? And how do I see what changed without using diff? Remember this... the link is broken

Time2Retire
what do u mean ? See one of my previous posts. btw, boot10 is on first post. Please test I won't test anything without having access to the source code. I think having already explained it! short answer: when the code becomes stable enough. That's what Master Chief said a year ago when the administrators here removed his work without any hesitation. Double standards? p.s. The posts describing the actions are still available in this forum. One of which reads: "...my (MC's) account was disabled anyway (and both of them) due to the simple fact that I didn't want to share my (unfinished) source code." My post was about unfair treatment in the past. For not using the same rule set for everyone. Nothing personal, but you are supposed to publish the source. And not because I say so, but because it's the APSL license that mandates it. It may sound harsh, but oppressing is far stressed. You simply asked for it, by not following the rules, so please... don't blame me for speaking out. I do like what you are doing, but I'm for fair treatment for everyone. That's all.
