ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 Drivers

Hello Everyone

 

I know This card is not supported yet .

But Our OSX86 Group did many many grate works.

So there any chance to make this card works with some kext coding

or tell me is there any post or tutorials to make u r own kext so i'll makefor this card

or comdian some ATI 4xxxx Series cads kext coding and make this card work

 

Somebody have To make It this Card To Work .

it's not just that easy to start up coding without any help from apple, they had to start first and make one for real macs

anyway, ive got the QE/CI kext working now, however the FB only works for external display. i tried EDID injecting, but it only changes the EDID of the external display, resulting in the CRT doing crazy sounds and strange output due to wrong EDID. How do i get the FB to swap to internal screen? which AtiConfig do i use? Hoolock ATM for external screen.

Running iATKOS s3 v2 with Graphics Update 1.0 and 10.6.4 update.

 

EDIT: is there a version of the hoolock mode of the framebuffer that has LVDS as connection type? I am hex editing the hell out of the hoolock offset but it keeps on using the VGA port...

I finally got it working with Eulemur FB with EDID injection. I guess I was doing something wrong with the EDID. Finally got it working after 6-7 tries. The instructions are a little hard to follow. Read carefully.

 

However, in my case I can't get VGA working along with my Internal LVDS with extended desktop.

 

Use ATI ROM with Eulemur FB with EDID injection.

 

My laptop is an ACER 3820TG with switchable graphics ATI 5470.

 

My next steps is to try FB patching to match my personality.

I tried EDID injection already! I found instructions on how to get the IDs for that you have to name the folder after (and why not to use generic folder, and 717 display id) And i tried to apply it again, but failed. Can you explain that to me? i have the EDID but i need to find out how to override the PROPER display id.
