loui
wow! Thanks dude ^^That sounds a little complicated. Do you mind making a noob guide? Pretty please Ok, but do you have to use an EFI partition for your motherboard like i do,its a p5k but not all MB's need this work around. if so then i will try and guide you. slave-zeo
Used the install instructions on tonymac's blog to install MAC OS X 10.6.0 from scratch, couldn't get the 10.6.3 disc to install on my machine. Used tonymac's ##### and nVidia installer. Working as everyone else's is. Vsync is good, don't know about OpenCL. Some people were having trouble with World of Warcraft and I was also. I disabled Sunshafts in the Video options and it's running properly now. Been playing it all day with no lockups or issues. Performance is not as good as windows or linux (under wine), but its playable. I see it as a fair trade off to not be running Windows. Mac OS X it's self seems to run fine too. My audio DOES NOT work after the video driver update. Using a real crappy usb audio dongle. it sucks. My card is an evga GTX 470 (femi) 1.25GB

You see the previous guy got a very good OpenGL cinebench score as he has overclocked his CPU to 4.10Ghz which is going to push his score up quite a bit. loui
Ok thanks. I have heard too many people getting over 30fps so I thought something was wrong. But maybe it isn't then I would prob get the same score as you but have not checked. but i know that i only get about 29-30fps openGL on cinebench because i have overclocked my Q9550 @2833Ghz to 3400Ghhz. This is a stable overclock and i have pushed it a lot further to 3.8 before now!! so if you want higher scores then you need to be looking at optimizing your system, but this would have to be another thread! deDante
@DaniPoo IMHO doesnt matter if u OC ur system or not, coz OpenGL score pure from Graphic Card, not CPU, in my test nothing different if am OCing my system or running default, just got the same score on OpenGL, in my system am using MacPro 5.1 w/o removing AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext and I got lower score on Cinebench, but if I remove that kexts, wow, I got higher score, but if u use MacPro 3.1 u dont have to remove/edit that kext, CMIIW btw, have u tested with OpenCL benchmark??? LoL...

DaniPoo
Now I have tried with MacPro5,1 and deleted AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext. I still get a Sinebench core of 22.88fps. How can I restore or get a new AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext for snow leopard 10.6.5? You can download both the 10.6.5 combo update and Pacifist.app then open the combo with Pacifist to extract the .kext you need from it. BTW the next time you may want to consider something like mv /System/Library/Extensions/AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext /System/Library/Extensions/AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext.original.10.6.5 to move it out of the way with no .kext on the end it will not be used so just like you deleted it. Or if making changes to the .kext then use cp -Rp in place of the mv to make a copy before editing so you can reverse the process if things do not go as you want. qbe
status of quadro 4000 cards (fermi) changed on apple website to 1-2 months, hopefully there will be official drivers soon or in next OSX patch (apple writes their own drivers) i guess i will give this gfx a try afterall, instead of ati5870 as there are still many problems with them...(still dont get it why as 5870 is used in macpro)
