Do you see vsync problem after install?

don't think so...what would I see?

Your Cinebench looks virtually the same as mine:

excellent! thanks for posting. hoping there will be a fix later to get full performance out of these fermi cards. it's about half the score from W7.

Any suggestions here? Did a clean install, here is my full install:

1. Set BIOS settings, boot using tonymacx86 ##### fermi v2, only one 470 installed

2. Install 10.6.3 retail disc with -x, boot using ##### -x again, update to 10.6.4, ##### -x again, install pertinent updates

...edited for size...

EDIT: Tried compiling my hex with gfxutil on an ibook g4 running 10.5.8 and got a different hex (i thought gfxutil worked in 10.6.4?), tried with all three dsdts and still get the exact same results

EDIT 2: I've been downloading these files to try compiling the hex on different computers... got the same hex on my macbook (10.6.4) as I did on my OSX86 machine and the same hex I got using the first ibook on a second ibook, all using the same .plist linked above...

Any suggestions?

Anyone confirm getting a GTX 465 working?

I can get OSX installed fine, but stuck at 1024x768. I've tried multiple guides, but each ends up the same way. OSX seems to boot fine, but no video is being fed to the monitor. I switch out for my 9800GTX+ and everything works flawlessly. I have a dual boot machine and play games on the Windows side and use the 9800GTX+ for dedicated PhysX. So obviously I would like to retain my current configuration. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi guys,

i have similar question like ludox.

Im planing to build new hackintosh, and GTS 450 seems to be in a sweet spot of price/performance.

Did anyone got this card running on snow leopard 10,6,4 ? or should I look for other cards ?

thx.

Here are the steps with "Snow Leopard SSE2/SSE3 10.6.1-10.6.2 Intel AMD" for people with a GeForce GTS 450

CAUTION This procedure works only with low resolution to 1280X1024

Mac OS X 10.6.2 Combo Update;

Boot Loaders: Chameleon RC3 PCEFI 10.5;

Kernels: (none);

Graphic: (none);

Audio: (none);

Network: RTL8169 Ethernet;

System Support: SATA AHCI Fix Extra;

AdditionalFonts + QuickTime 7

END

I hope that this info would be helpful.

sorry, offtop

I have laptop Sony Vaio VPC F11E1R

Conf: cpu intel core i3 330

Gpu:nVidia 310m

I install Snow Leopard 10.6.3 through EasyEFI

Install Update for Macbook pro

Updated to 10.6.4

After loading the internal display is turned off (to connect an external monitor via VGA / HDMI - everything works: quartz and acceleration)

Change in com.apple.boot.plist in folder extra line Graphics Enabler Yes to No then the system is loaded on the internal display without Quartz and acceleration

Is there a possibility of some way to get to work on the internal screen at full strength?

Sorry for my Broken English

help me please

update 2010/08/03:

 • added fermi vram detection (props go to the linux nouveau driver and chrisbmr and his nvc0 patch)
 • added rom version detection (cosmetic, but still nice to know)
 • added fermi quadros device ids (still working on sub-device id recognition)
 • fermi package 2010/08/03 is based on a wild mixture of 10.6.4+macmini+imac+nvidia kexts
 • bootloader is based on chameleon svn r301 trunk, diff: fermi_20100803_diff.txt

update 2010/07/15: added gtx 460 + fermi tesla bootloader support (edit: to clarify this again: this doesn't mean os x supports it!)

update 2010/06/18: it's finally working :)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

howto (follow the links if you don't know what i mean):

0. if you don't have a gf100 based card, this will not work for you!

1. install 10.6.4

2. grab fermi package 2010/08/03 from here (mirrors are welcome):

3. install bootloader located in bootloader/ (if you don't have 'fdisk440', use normal 'fdisk' for now; you already should have installed chameleon before this)

4. add this to your boot plist if you haven't done so already:

 <key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
	<string>Yes</string>

5. copy all kexts from kexts/ to /System/Library/Extensions (replace old ones)

6. copy all frameworks from frameworks/ to /System/Library/Frameworks (replace old ones)

7. clear caches and reboot, or reboot and ignore caches on boot-up

note: although the bootloader and nvdagf100hal.kext may support your device, os x in general (all other geforce kexts) may not!

(x8 due to crappy board settings ...)

Successfully installed an EVGA GTX470 using FISHINGROCKS95 method.

CineBench: Open GL = 21.36, CPU = 5.57 (Stock Clocks)

Very strange problem; if I try to get a screen shot with Grab, the image captured turns black, the part of the screen copied turns black, the menu bar disappears and system becomes non functional resulting in a hard reset. Any ideas?

Why am i the only one with low scores on cinebench?????.

GTX470 = 7.65 FPS = Fail.

Does anyone know how can i fix this ????

no idea if this will be helpful, but...

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=235311

If you would read some posts before you would know that there are no official drivers for fermi yet. Thats why ppl get vsync issues and some low graphic performance.

right, but a 7.xx score is not right. he should be at least in the 20's, preferrably in the 30's.

hi aLL, am noob wanna ask bout my trouble, i installed Chamelleon Fermi on my SL 10.6.3 (using IATKOS S3) but get failure, am already installing Chamelleon RC4 Bootloader first, any sollution?

Hi Rangga.

First of all. What GFX do you have?

Second of all... Its not working just to have the RC4 bootloader, that will get you into mac os x, but without the gfx beeing detected, (just vesa mode). You HAVE to download and install the modified bootloader.

Good luck. :(

Fantastic.... 2 previous posts explaining how the GTX 460 DOES NOT work yet.... !!

Sorry mate, please read the posts before you post your own question.

Anyway, I believe that you could make it work with a high resolution, but without hardware acceleration.... There are tons of posts about that around this forum.
