Swad
It's been exactly one year since we launched these forums and, to celebrate, we're doing what we always try to do: make things better and have fun. First, we've reorganized the forum to a much more logical structure that'll last us for at least the next 10 years. Things are easier to find and there are also more places to talk about the things that are important to you, like photography, web design, or deep UI tweaks. It might take you a little while to get adjusted, but trust me, after using it for a few days you'll find that it makes a lot more sense. We'll still be moving a few things around for the rest of this week, but the bulk of it the (massive) transition effort is done (thanks to our awesome staff). Also, in honor of our birthday, we're going to be giving out 4 $86 gift cards to newegg! 4 forum members will be chosen randomly from our member list, with each post you've made counting as one entry! We'll announce the winners later this week. Finally, we had planned to make the transition to insanelymac.com today, but due to some unforseen difficulties (like our designer's HD dying) we're going to push that date back until later this month. Our team is so excited about all the features we're doing for insanelymac that we don't want to release it until it's ready (otherwise we might as well go with InsanelyVista.com). So stay tuned for more info in the coming days, along with a sneak peek at the forum skin. Enjoy! And thanks for making our 1 year birthday such a great one! domino
Wow, I remember about this time this board was a ghost town. Look at it now!
Swad
PS - If looking at the forum makes it seem like there are a TON more forums now, don't worry... there really aren't. Our next forum skin will make it seem a lot more compact.
domino
Will you think about adding a forum skin geared towards PDA users? Lo-Fi Version works but you can not post replies or search.

hanschien
Great idea, domino. We certainly will. Great! now I'm really gonna get fired for spending all my time here.
domino
Thanks for the thought! It's no picnic trying to browse a site on a 240 x 320 pixels LCD . And also the java scripts on both vB and IPB boards kills my poor little PDA. Great! now I'm really gonna get fired for spending all my time here. Too late for me. This board and a few other sites needs to be checked to get ahead of competition. Before and after meetings, I normaly check emails and forums using my PDA. It's just too complicted to whip out the lappy to use for 10 minutes.

Swad
sn8k - Thanks for the heads-up, man. The permissions system in invision is less that intuitive and you have to change several things sometimes just for one forum. But it's back. Also, we tried to move as much as we could into the specific language forums, but we need your help. If you speak another language, you could really help us out by sending me a Pm with the titles of threads that are in your language but aren't sorted yet. (Since the staff doesn't speak those languages, it's hard for us to tell between Spanish and Portuguese for example). Thanks for your help! I think you'll find the new language setup much easier to use.
