Ryu-ka
Yesterday, I decided to try my hand with RAM upgrades. I replaced two sticks of DDR RAM from an old Dell that I have with a newer stick of 1GB RAM (it only takes a maximum of one gigabyte). Now I have two sticks of old RAM lying around. I was considering selling it on Craigslist, but I'm not sure about the pricing. Both memory modules are roughly 5-7 years old. Info: Samsung 258MB DDR PC2700 Legacy Electronics, Inc. 512MB DDR PC2700 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/210409-ram-pricing/ Share on other sites

I bought 2gb of DDR2 2 years ago for £30, the exact same ram today costs about £45! The ram you have, as you have said, is very old. This could work in your favour as it is unlikely that it's manufactured anymore, but also it means you might have a hard time finding a buyer. Have a look around on price comparison sites like kelkoo or google shop, and maybe ebay - you can see what similar ram is priced at, and use that to price your own. MemoryStock.com says the 512MB stick is worth around $27 (US), while the other one is worth around $16. I could price each at $20 and 10, or would that be too much?
