I'm trying to get istat to display accurate temperature information for the CPU. The tjmax value set inside @@smiths version of FakeSMC is set to 100. This however means my idle temps are showing at 11 degrees. The BIOS setup shows it to be 35 degrees. If I adjust my tjmax value to 135 I get roughly the same reading in istat. Is this the right way to do this? Is the BIOS setups temperature reporting more or less accurate?

There are several things that have been set up with a standard value. Some of these have since been corrected by

various people in the Hack community and they will probably be included if & when either dgobe or ifabio get time

to update the installer. In the mean time if you can find it ifabio recommends new FakeSMC2.5 modded by Andy

Vandijck. I was unable to find this but did locate some other great mod's Andy Vandijck has managed to come

up with by searching his topics in this forum.. Will get back into polishing off the finer details myself one day to :)

EDIT: Sorry for misleading above please find latest FakeSMC by slice see below link. Please if you decide to try

this make sure you have good system backup (unlike me :D ) as if you get something wrong during

install it can totally crash your system..

I did all the steps and it is working. I had to use GraphicsEnabler=n (how i get rid of this?) for boot and use

I dont have sound and no wifi, i will appreciate any help for this.

Later i installed Win7 in the same HDD in the 2nd partition of 3.

I installed EasyBCD and i added a new entry for MacOS [Mode: EFI (feault)] its ok? the other option mode is MBR, ( says that it is on C:\ :( )

There are a total of 2 entries listed in the bootloader.

Default: Windows 7
Timeout: 5 seconds
Boot Drive: C:\

Entry #1
Name: Windows 7
BCD ID: {current}
Drive: C:\
Bootloader Path: \Windows\system32\winload.exe

Entry #2
Name: Mac OS
BCD ID: {6c5b1512-179b-11e0-9c05-e87291679d74}
Drive: C:\
Bootloader Path: \NST\nst_mac.mbr

When i boot the PC, i see: Windows 7 and NST Mac OS X. If i select Windows 7 works fine, else if i select NST Mac OS X I see a FAT device, if I press F8 inside NST Mac OSX I see MacOS, Windows7 (now it is NTFS) and the DATA partition (FAT at the beginning, now ntsf; for backups)

If i try to run Mac OS (with GrapchisEnabler=n and/or -x) my PC reboots, and before it worked well before install Windows 7. i dont know what is going on

System specs:

ASUS P6T SE

Intel i7 920 2.66

ATI ASUS HD5770 PCX

6GB DDR3 1333 Kingston

HD 1TB SATA

Wifi Atheros AR5005GS

Hi Chumillus,

Both O/S's on same H/D is not preferred Method. You need Chameleon OR EasyBCD NOT both. Did you follow mini

guide st3p wrote post#1414. Also see recent Post#553 by blackosx in following link for more about this.

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...p;#entry1614698

The solution to your SE version Mobo is back a few pages here.

If you use the Chameleon version I post a few pages back or newer, when in OSX > System Preferences you will find

a Chameleon Preference Panel to easily set GraphicsEnabler to no & other options. However for your 5770 I would be

searching the following threads for the 'best' reported solution to your GFx card.

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=231756

As to WiFi if you can find somewhere that your exact model/version is reported working with OSX there would also

be a guide as to what is needed to do this. Search this Forum or try Wiki. If it comes with OSX software/driver/

programme however (like mine, see sig.) it should work. Good Luck..

I've been trying to get osx disc to boot, i've tried -x, -v, -GraphicsEnabler=n, arch=i386 and a lot of others. When it's loading it comes up with Could not determine PCI-Boot-UID value. After that it says some more info. Then comes up with Starting Darwin x86 then just goes black and reboots.

I'm using the Asus p6t boot 132 disc.

Asus P6T Deluxe V2

Nvidia Geforce 275

Intel i7 920

G.Skill 12GB Ram

Any idea how to fix this?

Looks like you're having similar problems that I had. I solved it using a more recent version of chameleon.. Read posts above.

Hi IBdb

Hi jp1900,

It was the Apple S/L Graphics update (version 1) released just prior to 10.6.5 release. After doing these 4870x2

worked natively and shows correct 2048 nvram. Had been a 12 month heartache to heaven experience. :(

10.6.6 no problem.

Before restart after update:

- Repatch the AppleHDA (binpatch with the script, or use an old one, no needed if you use VoodooHDA).

- Repatch the Youkon2 (for the LAN).

Hey guys, thanks for all the work! I'm running the P6T WS Pro with an i7 950, and I used the dsdt for the 950 as a guide for modding my own. Some things were in different places, and the P6T WS Pro has a lot of stuff that seemed unnecessary so I deleted it. The only kexts I'm using are the P6T_Legacy and FakeSMC, oh yeah, and RealtekR1000SL I think. Everything seems to work, including sound and sleep, but I thought I would post the unmodded and modded dsdt in case anyone else wants it or if someone wants to make sure it's all correct and make it better.

Edit: Oops, shutdown didn't work. I think I've fixed that now by going back into the i7 950 dsdt from iFabio and digging a little deeper.

My sleep seems to be really slow though. It takes about 25 seconds for the machine to go to sleep. Wakes up fine though. Restart and Shutdown are pretty quick. I've looked in the logs for clues, but I don't see anything weird.

After 10.6.6 I have no audio, can you post a working applehda.kext please?

Hi Tony-B,

Use audio patch bottom of post #1. If this did not work try disconnect your audio device and try again. Always best

to run permission Repair after Update or program install also (Disk Utility). If this does not work download update

pkg from apple & install that way (something may of gone wrong during update).

EDIT: Sorry OOps this not relevant for your ALC1200 audio  (see iFa post below)

Thanks Fabio for correcting me.. :)

The Tony-B's audio is ALC1200 not AD2000B...(his signature report a P6T SE mobo)

if him run the script in the first post that script not make difference because the pached id don't match...

for him better run this via terminal...

ALC1200

sudo perl -pi -e 's|\x85\x08\xec\x10|\x88\x08\xec\x10|g' /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext/Contents/MacOS/AppleHDA
