Kyrie
Hey everyone, I downloaded this file from somewhere and It boots up fine. no errors except for firewire (I don't use that anyway) and it loads apple logo with loading thing underneath and stays like that forever. Anything I'm doing wrong? Things ive tried. -cpus=1 - -v I know it works cause ive seen youtube videos with my exact computer. Anyone care to shed some light? Thank you, Kyrie

Daveta
the full secure mode firewire isn't a problem, search for it. deactive the fw port from bios, then reboot. you will read the real problem. the full secure mode firewire isn't a problem, search for it. deactive the fw port from bios, then reboot. you will read the real problem. Kyrie
Okay, im at bios. How do I disable Firewire? all I can see is localhost kextd{47}: Can't add repository (not a directory) so far is it kextd[47] rootfilesystem is read-only; skipping kernal link data regeneration. Localhost DirecttoryService[53]: Launched version 5.6 (v515.24) ^I can't make any sense of that. Okay.. uhm.. very odd.. I did -v and it loaded everything and is installing now. Please remain free though Okay.. should I ignore if it says my disc needs to be cleaned?

Daveta
it's a strange problem, i've found only 2 answers: 1) RAM damaged; try from windows to test it. 2) DVD or iso copy fake. try to re-download and re-burn. which video card have your pc? Daveta
1) don't talk about link and how to download. try if the green demon can help you. 2) you have to specify which chipset you have.
