lol, thats is so sad, for so many years Mac users touted thier hardware as superiour, what a change i have noticed since the switch. Intel does bring out the evil in everyone then like i said all along.

Now with OS X running on PC hardware your saying, Windows Vista needs decent hardware, it does need some grunt to be used at full potential but you gotta remember Vista will run on a wide rang of Hardware from different Manufactures, us PC users have been using this better hardware for years. just kidding, Both were good, and both still are. how childish. Grow up and start Using your computer instead of benching 24/7

That's right. Lunch breaks are for benching ;-p

I think it's funny that Steve Jobs' little minions, with the intel switch, are all like "the mac uses superior components". Show me? They use 10,000 rpm hard drives? They have SLI motherboards? Where's the Sound Blaster Audigy in an imac core duo? On and on and on. Apple's look nice. Their hardware suuuuuucks.

The PowerPC chips were vastly superior to Intel chips for years. This was why Intel needed to make chips run at such stupidly high clock speeds--to make up for the inherent handicapping the Pentium chip provided (that whole 21 step process for Intel vs 7 step process for PPC). The thing is though, Intel finally figure things out and started making their chips actually do more per clock instead of just ramping up the clock itself to amke up for inherent differences.

I think any OS that requires a graphics card of 128 MB or better to be a little extreme. Most likely, that requirement will be downgraded. Given the way Vista is now, people will need to invest several hundred dollars in graphics hardware in order to just run Vista and make it "not suck." That seems a little extreme

I have beta tested Vista and like all Microsofts os's (I am a server 2003 fan, but I'm looking for an alternative in linux or osx86) it will be EXTREMELY buggy, just like all they're os's when they are released (and debatibly always, but i digress as I am a windows fan... and it has that whole "little brother insecurity" problem... where it has to ask you permision to do anything, ANYTHING

Im gonna hold out on Vista untill at least sp1

I thought this was a caption competition not ANOTHER stupid argument about pcs vs apples. The new Mac was probably an attempt to detract attention from the complete lack of anything new within Vista.

You have a good point there, i dont think that Microsoft has added anything except "added security features" witch make the operating system ask permision to run its own core components and stuff like ctrl+alt+delete... it asks you if you should let it run because it "might be a virus." and i dont think it has degraded to pc vs apple, i should probobly edit my old post to reflect that tho... gotta go do that...
