Mohamed i tried your method but it broke both audio and internet for me..

 

And 'cause i have no internet i then couldn't download the gfx 1.0 so i don't know if it would have worked had i completed the process.

 

any ideas why this might happen?

 

1- install snow leopard 10.6 or 10.6.3

2- update to 10.6.4

3- install chamelon

4- replace boot file with my boot file

5-add this codes to boot.plist

My spec:

Gigabyte P55M-UD2 Motherboard. LGA1156 Chipset.

4gb G-Skill DDR3 RAM

XFX Radeon HD 5770 Graphics Card.

A Samsung IDE DVD-RW

A really old 40gb IDE Hard drive.

Unbranded 750w PSU.

hi guys,

 

i have 2x Club 3D ATI HD 5770 1GB (Crossfire)

i got Snow Leopard 10.6.4 with latest snow leopard graphices update 1.0

 

can someone help me, i got a problem?

i followed Mohamed Khairy tutorial..

i placed my own rom because i dont have 2x dvi port. i got dvi - hdmi - displayport (which are be showed in system profiler)

i got the newest chamelon bootloader (r515 from iFabio)

i use the VERVET boot file from Mohamed Khairy on page 34! (the MOTMOT boot file didn't work eighter.)

 

this is what i have working:

 

- i got full resolution (1920x1080x32 @60)

- i got full screen (not in chemol bootloader)

- the card's shows their right PCI-E Slot (slot-1 and slot-2 with netkas kext i got no port detection)

 

ok now the problem..

 

i boot into snow leopard with verbose mode..

the chamelon bootloader is nog fullscreen.. verbose mode 2.

then my screen flashed black.. en then its fullscreen grey.

then its full screen light blue.

then its full screen black, with something like pixels, but i can see my mouse and i can move him.

then i got the logon screen from mac :D

i log in to my account. everythings fine.

no i can use system profiler and safari. but when i got to site like insanelymac.com i don't load 100%

if i start system pref panel. the app freezes. then i forced close.

i must restart finder. all on my desktop go awey.

my dock is everthing i got now. i klik on finder and on start.

i got a error: finder.app can't be opened -10810

now i must restart mac os x :(

 

can someone please help me?

with the drivers from netkas i got the same. but wen i pull one card out, it runs fine!

is it something with crossfire ?

i got it work now! ;) the 30 boot files i download.. i picked one.. it was emelur or something.

 

and now it works! :)

 

now i got a Mac Pro 5,1 (2010) and €2.000 in my pocket! (hackintosh is cheaper :D)

because many people asking for dual cards :(

Hi! I have tried "almost with success" again. I get the apple screen load (it is different that before, so I think that is good), but it get a infinitive loop. I have capture the screen in verbose mode.

 

Some idea to help me this works finally at all??

 

I don´t know what could be the problem. I had to put GRAPHICENABLER=No because with yes I got black screen.

 

Please, I think that I am very near to get it.... a little help more!!!!

I have 2x HD5850... I tried Eulemur and like I expected, didn't work... There is any chance, if confirmed the eulemur is working to 2x HD5770, the solution to be adapted by some Guru to HD5850, or am I on the apple's hands?

I also have 2 xfx ati 5770 cards, I tried the emelur framebuffer, but doesn't work. The same problem happens with two 5770 cards. Both Finder and System Preferences will not load, they completely lock up, but other programs will work.

 

Vervet works perfect with ONE 5770 card, but no luck at all with two 5770 cards, always the Finder/System Preferences freeze.

 

My guess is that they won't work until 10.6.5 comes out, as the new macpros 2010 versions (the new macs that are sold with the two 5770 card option), have newer ati drivers than the snow leopard graphics update apparently. So it must be something in the new mac pro drivers that allow the two 5770 cards to work properly.

 

If someone out there has access to the 10.6.5 beta or access to the new macpro 2010 install dvd, then peek at the newer drivers and see what's missing for two 5770 cards to work.

which frambuffer you tested please test all of them as i told you , you may get problem solved

Try following this guide, I had problems with KP too then followed steps mentioned in the guide and it works now 110% also using Mohamed Khairy boot file.

Success!!!

 

I now have two xfx ati 5770 cards working! :rolleyes:

 

Using Kabyl's bootloader here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=231768

 

and with the Vervet framebuffer in plist. Also the original extracted xfx ati 5770 rom in /Extra

 

Here's my plist, I believe it was the inclusion of the GraphicsMode line in plist that made it work, as I tried before without it, and it didn't work, but all works now.

Upon booting in verbose, I see that it only identifies one card in "Slot-1" even though both are plugged in. Could be because I still have the crossfire bridge attached, not sure.

 

In OSX, it shows both cards detected in profiler, but doesn't show all the info. Also, it doesn't show ANY info about the cards in the "PCI Card" section in Profiler.

 

Everything seems to work though so far, full hardware acceleration QE/Ci, etc. Will test more and see, but so far so good, all seems working great with two ati 5770 cards :P

Processer : AMD 630

(My Hack 1.1.4 Legncy Kernel Only 32bit can boot)

VideoCard :Lantic 5770 1G GDDR5

MB: 770TA-UD3

 

Only an old VGA Monitor for 7 years

Res 1024*768

Try to start QE/CI

 

GFX 1.0 --> Kernel Panic

No ATY_init -->Kernel Panic

 

Solution:

Delete the driver

Clear kext cache @ System/Cache/Startup

 

ATY_init Framebuffer

Vervet = blank screen

Uakari = blank screen

Bamboo = blank screen

Motmot = blank screen

No signal but can shutdown/reboot

Others = Kernel Panic (After install kexts with kexthelper/Can't reboot again)

 

Maybe I should get a DVI/HDMI monitor

I still can't get 64 bit support to work with my x58a-ud3r + xfx 5700 :P

 

Everything was working with 32-bit, but I use FCP on a daily basis and I'm tired of my hackintosh being any slower than necessary when it comes to video processing.

 

Attached is a picture of startup hanging in verbose mode. This happens with a number of your boot files Mohamed Khairy as well as with Kabyl's new method. What am I seeing here...?

 

With Mohamed Khairy's method and vervet boot, my boot.plist looks like this
