If you have any questions, I am there to help with the best of my ability.

An update (I am typing this on my mac)

I upgraded my OS from 10.5.7 to 10.5.8 (165 MB) via software upgrade. It rebooted twice and after that everything was perfect.

I upgraded safari, iTunes, Quick Time, HP Printer software through software upgrade. No problem at all.

I Installed iwork 9.0, Open-Office 3.1 and iLife 9.0. All are working Fine.

I Connected my Canon A40 camera via USB. It was immediately recognised and could transfer photos.

I connected my Panasonic 3CCD Mini DV Camcorder through USB and it was recognised immediately and could transfer photos and videos.

I connected My Nokia E61 and 5130 and it was recognised and could sync using isync.

I connected my external Card reader via usb and was immediately recognised and could transfer data from a CF card.

I can see some downloads but no feedback yet.

Come on guys some of you must have this Mobo.

Just do it !!! and leave a feed back.

p.s. will try to change my HP 6510b Notebook to a macbook during this weekend. Will start a separate thread on that.

I have re-posted the guide. Just download both parts, right click on any of them and select.............Extract here. You should have the .pdf file ready.

Your configuration appears to be ok for installation of Leopard 10.5.8 (just follow the guide).

I am not sure about snow leopard though............i belive it still has some issues specially with older mobos.

Try installing leopard first and then move over to snow leopard.

Good luck.

Let me know if there are any more issues.

Another update

Since I started working in my dual booting PC-Mac i faced this strange problem of the system time being set wrong whenever i switched from one os to another. This I found out happens because both windows and mac osx recognising the hardware time (set in bios) differently. While windows recognises it as the Local Time, osx thinks it is the Universal Time (UTC).

The merits of each may be argued at length by different parties but personally i feel osx has got it right again.

But here is the solution I found to work perfectly for me.

In Leopard, /etc/rc.local, /etc/rc.shutdown.local and StartupItems startup/shutdown mechanisms are deprecated.

Instead, the following Leopard-friendly solution will toggle the clock between local time and UTC at start-up and shut-down times. You will need Administrator privileges when performing this procedure. (personally i prefer working on such things by logging in as root).

1. Create new file /sbin/localtime-toggle with the following contents:

#!/bin/sh

to_utc() {

echo "localtime-toggle: Toggling to UTC."

date -f %m%d%H%M%Y `date -u +%m%d%H%M%Y`

}

to_localtime() {

echo "localtime-toggle: Toggling to localtime."

date -u -f %m%d%H%M%Y `date +%m%d%H%M%Y`

}

trap 'to_localtime; exit' term

to_utc

{ while true; do sleep 86400; done; } &

wait

2. Ensure that localtime-toggle is executable:

chmod +x /sbin/localtime-toggle

3. Create new file /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/org.osx86.localtime-toggle.plist with the following contents:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple Computer//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">

<plist version="1.0">

<dict>

<key>Label</key>

<string>org.osx86.localtime-toggle</string>

<key>Program</key>

<string>/sbin/localtime-toggle</string>

<key>KeepAlive</key>

<true/>

<key>RunAtLoad</key>

<true/>

<key>HopefullyExitsFirst</key>

<true/>

</dict>

</plist>

4. Set correct time in osx and Reboot.

At this point, your computer's clock should correctly be set to UTC as Leopard boots, and reset back to local time as Leopard shuts down.

5. Log into windows and it should show correct time.

If you have any questions, I am there to help with the best of my ability.

I too have same mobo and I have installed iatkos 10.5.7 about two month ago. Except printer, LAN & webcam driver which you have to download from other sources, other driver are available during custom install.

But what about audio and mic in.

Its ALC 883

I have tried all the method available in web but one or something other is missing.

voodoohda 0.2.2 and appleazaliaaudio is working but without mic

AppleHDA is in any case not working in itself.

I tried with my linux dump patched in AppleHDA Patcher 1.20 but displaying without sound or mic

Modded Voodoohda from link here http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=355 is working but with some headache. You got to have voodoohdaprefpane and voodoohdahelper set and never ending crackling sound and mic.

I seriously needs help in making work audio with mic.

It would be better if one could mod working applehda as voodoohda have some other issues like shutdown, sleep & crackling and low sound.

I suppose its my graphics card, I chose the ATI package before installation. If I choose anything else then I get kernel error. Any one could help? cheers
