elitee
Would it be possible to add support in fakesmc for the now working GTX470/65/80/80M at some point? Whenever you get around to recompiling it next 0x06c010de&0xfff0ffff
cartri
Hello d00d, sorry for using a open thread to personal comunication. First i have to say that i appreciate the way you did put all together in this thread, and your amazing track keeping capability (which i never had, i forget what i did eat as soon as i digest it). I still had no time to read this thread that was pointed to me as a source for researches by a tester of some moded bios i do for p45 series, but passing the eyes trough the 1st post, shows you have a organization capability that maybe i need to learn if i want to go public without being missunderstood. As your PM box was full here, i did send you a PM with my personal contact trough the other forum we participate (the one that you need to complete a quiz to join etc). If possible please contact me, I'd like to talk to you and share some toughs. Congratulations for your researches.

zoob
d00d, have you any issues with your GTX285 getting a brief screen blinking glitch when transitioning from high to low GPU load? Looks something like this: http://netkas.org/?p=442 but happens to me in SL. I have a GTX285+GTS250 added in my DSDT, and my GTS250 never "blinks", it only happens on my GTX285. kdawg
Hi d00d,Thanks for posting the new FakeSMC with plug-ins for fan monitoring. Installed using digital dreamers script, rebuilt caches and works great. see attached. Cheers Jon Be aware that some of the plug-ins associated with FakeSMC could effect your C-States and increase core temperature. I'm not sure what your hardware setup is but your core temps seem a tad bit high. Check to see if you still have c-states active.
d00d
Hey, i just tried the DSDT you uploaded in the first post ( DSDT_GA_EX58_UD5_F9m_S3_920_W3520_v2.zip ) My Mashine is a GA-EX58-UD5, but with Bios F12 Installed. Im using a nVidia 9800 and only Sata devices. The nVidia card runs with EFI Strings - Created with the DD-Script. Now The Problems: i Can not reboot or shutdown the machine in 64 bit mode. i Just hangs. (also no sleep) Please tell me wich kexts do i realy need in my config? ... And this is the Bootlog: ... Any idea what i can do now? While installing i updated to 10.6.4... Thank You, Pcace I listed the few kexts I use towards the end of post 1. Be aware that some of the plug-ins associated with FakeSMC could effect your C-States and increase core temperature. I'm not sure what your hardware setup is but your core temps seem a tad bit high. Check to see if you still have c-states active. The SMCITEController plugin drops CStates, but FakeSMCSuperIO doesn't.FakeSMCSuperIO is what I included in the version I compiled.
