ThePhoenixUK
Already doing that as you can't install MAC OS wihout AHCI. My problem is a kernel panic connected with HPET for some reason, waiting for mrjanek to wiegh in on this one. Jamie
Morphey
i think c2e, c3e, and c4e needs to be disabled in the bios (advance bios settings, after pressing ctrl+1 in main menu). oh, and you should make an osx86 profile in the bios, just for these nasty restarts

ThePhoenixUK
Yeah, that bootcd appears to work, cept when it boots to the os x disc, I loose input to my monitor, I'm told that it's a known problem for anyone with a GTXxxx Nvidia card like my GTX260. Cant win Jamie.

Morphey
i think you should try making a VMware comp, and then use the USB installation, if you need any help with it, pm me

BlackSoul
Hello, First I want to thank you for this stuff, it seems to work quite great for a lot of users. Second, I've got some questions for you: 1/ Do you think it should work on a Gigabyte X58-UD4P ? I think, it's quite similar to the UD5. 2/ No problem with a GTX295 and core i7 ? (it worked on a 10.5.8 System but I haven't tried since then) Thanks to you blacksoul EDiT: I've seen that some already ask for the UD4P motherboard, but there is no real answer. If anyone has succeed with this motherboard i would like to know. Once again thank you.

uswish
Mac OS X install data incomplete Bought a EP45-UD3R today to try out this install. Followed the guide and only selected my motherboard to the USB key, however during install I get the error: Mac OS X install data incomplete The following components of Mac OSX were not found on the installation disk: Gigabyte EP45-UD3L I re-did the usb install and made sure I selected only UD3R but during SL install the options say UD3L. I used v1.3 beta, thanks,

ThePhoenixUK
You can use the latest ISO mrjanek did for me uswish if you want as it worked perfectly. Thanks mrjanek and of course to you other members who have helped me out. Just gonna get it updated and whatnot and then see about restoring this HDD Partition to a Partition on my proper HDD that currently has Windows 7 on and a spare 200GB Parition I created to put this on. Lots of fun :-) Jamie
leafhound
My goodness, Thankyou mrjanek & Apple. Only today I had the time to try out this install with SL DVD. Easy as pie Slip the boot cd in let it load then pop the SL dVd in and install. The only hitch was after installation, I rebooted and it hung at "verifying dmi pool" I put your bootcd back in and selected the OSX partition and hit the "down" arrow key to select boot in verbose mode. Booted straight into OSX, then put your bootcd back in to install the proper boot grub. Job done. everything running snappy like a dream. bobross
Any chance this will work with a Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3R? If so what option would I pick? If not, can someone point me to an install as easy as this? I got my SL on a 8GB stick just waiting to go. thanks! Or would it be possible to inject the GA-EP45-DS3R specific files into this installer? I'm desperate here
