Kenny Jones
I would also be interested to hear about this. I am unable to purchase an EP45-UD3LR here in Canada (at least from my usual haunts) so I would like to know how this would work with the EP45-UD3L. I have read another post that everything worked well in this forum. I was just wondering if the false CPU reading might have something to do with the safe mode install. Cheers, Thanks again for this MrJanek. Current working setup: EP45-UD3L Intel Core 2 DUO E8500 3.16MHz Gigabyte ATI4850 1GB HDMI/DVI/VGA (fully working with dual monitors) Snow Leopard 10.6.2 My only problem is that the CPU appears to be running slow, System profiler(and geekbench) report it as 2.07GHz. Anyone have any ideas why this is?
mrjanek
I've just updated GigabyteUSB.dmg and GigabyteCD.zip with the latest release of Chameleon (RC4) With this new version all ATI (46xx, 45xx 48xx etc) cards should work right out of the box. The following changes have been made to the installer: Gigabyte EP45-UD3LR Changelog v1.0 - Added Chameleon 2.0-RC4 bootloader - Removed PlatformUUID.kext as it is now obsolete - Simplified the guide There is also a new package called GigabyteBoot.zip This is for those of you who have already installed Snow Leopard and want to upgrade. As always, refer to the first post for the download links

Tusechka
Hi. I have a motherboard GA-EP45T-UD3LR. The only difference in the type of memory. EP45T has ddr3. Can I use your method?

Yes, although you may have to edit some files. I believe there are some instructions posted by someone in this thread. Will I be able to use wireless keyboard and mouse? Yes, as long as the receiver is connected by USB Any compatible bluetooth device? "All bluetooth devices" should work as long as your bluetooth dongle is supported by OS X. Dwyane
Another question, will I ever use my existing Keyboad (PS/2) if I'll use a Ps2 to USB converter? Anyway I'll have my answer later for I'll try to buy a converter =)

I am unable to purchase an EP45-UD3LR here in Canada (at least from my usual haunts) so I would like to know how this would work with the EP45-UD3L. EP45-UD3L just works. 10.6.2 update no problem. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ First of all mrjanek; Thank You Sooooooo Much for your great work. Everything just ROCKS. Instruction is simple and easy to understand. Unlike other postings/sites which won't tell you how to install, while asking frustrated forum visitors to search the google, forum and/or study kext etc, your files and instructions are totally easy to follow and step-by-step. Again thanks for your great work, help and support.
joergd
Should be able to update just fine. Na, didn't work for me, I saw the "You need to restart your computer . . ." screen. I had a backup, so didn't matter much. System works very well with 10.6, though. Even Elgato EyeTV! Would updating to RC4 make an update to 10.6.2 possible? Will donate next week (also to AsereBLN) Thank you, J. Daehn, Hannover

joergd
I just made a Backup and will give it a shot right now. Joerg Daehn No cigar, it didn't work. Got a KP after a few seconds into the system. I am using the same specs as AsereBLN used for his system in his guide, if that helps. Just the mainboard is the UD3LR. And the CPU is a 8300, I think. AsereBLN's config EDIT: I just removed the PlatformUUID.kext-Thing and now it works. Thanks, J. Daehn EDIT: I just removed the PlatformUUID.kext-Thing and now it works. Thanks, J. Daehn Actually it didn't work. When I switched to internal audio -> KP. But I found out why: your update-pkg didn't ask to which drive/partition it should be installed to and I have 3: "Failsafe", "Hackintosh HD" and "Daten". When I manually copied the whole "Extra" and Realtek-whatever to the respective folders on Hackintosh HD it worked flawless. Maybe you can add a fork in the installer where it asks to what drive it should put the files? I know I have a special setup, most people probably have a one drive one partition setup.
