Finalmente ho potuto installare tutto a destra. Tutto funziona bene tranne l'audio, non c'è modo che funziona bene, anche con l'dstd di italy4ever. Per risolvere il problema io uso un USB Sound Blaster che ho. Un altro problema è che l'uscita HDMI della 8800GT non funziona.

As i'm reading on forums, it seems there is no solution for the HDMI out, since it's an 10.6.3 issue.

My problem is:

AttansicL1Ethernet is detected but only has self assigned IP and will not connect to internet. Something about Mac address in the boot -v.

(This also failed to work after I crossflashed my bios (0703) on Leopard 5.7)

Probably you have deleted the original mac address when flashing your bios, i've never found a working solution to restore it but there is a discussion about this on the asus forum, maybe meanwhile they have solved this problem.

 

I have no audio using your AppleHDA. I can get audio with VoodooHDA but it is bad and makes a popping sound.

I am using the dsdt.aml from your installer.

This is the one I'm using now, tell me if it works: AppleHDA.kext.zip

 

I am not sure if it's something in my DSDT? I have looked and have been reading up about editing it for ages but don't know if anything needs to be changed. Maybe I could try using your DSDT as we have the same cpu and board?

Yes you can (because the CPU is the same) and need to use my dsdt also for audio if you haven't patched yours.

 

I also found your post about SSDT.aml, I have put that in Extra to try but don't really know if it is being used or if it would work.

Forget about it for now, it's for another project and it's useless with the dsdt we are using.

 

I know alot of people ask you about this but it would be really great if you could point me in the right direction as to what could be wrong. Maybe it's something simple I am not seeing?

For the wrong mac address I wrote a script some month ago but now i can't remember. It was about injecting the deleted mac address, if I can find it i'll post here.

On my P5KC i have 10.6.3 and audio working with the above posted kext, but i'm using a modded chameleon with integrated dsdt and ssdt. But the dsdt posted here and the one in my bootloader are almost the same.

Ok, finally everything is working. Thanks a lot scraxx. I'm using istats and the only minor issue is that the mobo temperature appears 10 degrees higuer than the real temp, but it's only a minor thing. thanks again mate.

I'm happy fro you, for iStat maybe is the tjmax value in fakesmc that is not correct for your CPU but i don't know where to find the correct value, for my CPU the temps are shown right.

Updated to 10.6.4. Everything working but sound. Sound is gone, in System Profiler the built in audio appears but it dos not appear in System Preferences, so that it cannot be choosen to be the audio device!! Strange thing.

 

EDIT: Everything is working again. Still No power off.

Ciao manca fakesmc o non viene caricato, se hai installato da leo avvia da li e controlla i permessi di fakesmc (per come fare vedi le FAQ)

Per quello si parte montando il DMG

per il problema sata puoi fare l'installazione su chiavetta o HD usb e poi da quella (se con l'installazione ti vede i sata installi definitivamente sul disco interno)

 

Però fa attenzione che la guida non è per la scheda madre che hai in firma

this is the script I was using to enable Atheros without mac addres in bios:

You need to change X with the correct value for lan (ifconfig to check)

xx:xx:xx could be any combination but you need to keep the firs 6 value 00:1d:60 because are asus specific

You need to make it executable and set to open on start (it will ask for your password at every log in)

scusa scrax non vorrei fare il guastafeste ma ho provato il bootcd del primo post e devo dire che purtroppo non funziona .Sembra infatti per quanto io ne possa capire che non riesca a fare un corretto scan dell'unità ottica non trovando quindi il dvd di snow leopard,...pensando che fosse un problema di dvd ho fatto una prova con un altro bootcd creato con lizard e il problema non si pone...fammi sapere se sbaglio

e' da un po che lo sleep non mi funziona più (a volte si a volte no, più volte no). Non saprei dire da quando.

La luce verde power lampeggia come quando va in sleep ma resta il led dell' HD acceso insieme alla ventola.

Quindi non completamente in stand-by e difatti devo fare il power down perchè non si riprende più.

Vi è mai capitato una cosa del genere?

 

Io uso il dsdt e i kext di questo thread. Ha sempre funzionato quasi alla perfezione.

Nel caso fosse questa, per poter preparare il disco è necessario utilizzarlo tutto quanto oppure va bene anche solo una partizione, per poter avere sia windows 7 che Leopard sullo stesso hard disk...fatemi sapere, grazie mille!

Per iniziare a provare ti consiglio di installare snow su una chiavetta/HD usb esterno finchè non ti funziona tutto e poi installi su un hd interno.

Può essere, il bootcd è stato fatto con lizard ma non l'ho mai provato, se quello che hai fatto tu funziona, e puoi caricarlo da qualche parte posta il link che lo sostituisco a quello della guida che non va.

Hai fatto qualche aggiornamento, installato qualcosa di particolare? è difficile dire cos'è non sapendo di preciso da quando ha iniziato a non funzionare, e lo è ancora di più se non telo fa sempre.

scrax: quello che ho creato io con lizard utilizza il chameleon rc4 e ha un dsdt ottimizzato con speedstep per q6600 quindi non adatto a tutte le configurazioni..serve avere un dsdt più generico per quanto riguarda questo aspetto? fammi sapere e se va bene lo posto
