johnniecarcinogen
I got my key by starting here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/getready/preview.mspx and choosing the 'download' option. And it is good until june 1 2007: Windows Vista Beta 2 (and RC1) is time-limited, pre-release software that will expire on June 1, 2007.
borez
Hi all, Has anyone managed to get their keys for Beta 2? I followed the instructions to get mine, but I got a prompt that "I received the max keys", and I did not receive any via email... I attempted to request for it again (using another email), but to no avail. EDIT: I attempted to re-attempt the thing again, but selecting United States, and it worked for me. So for those users who have problems with registration, make sure that you select United States.

vassalle
i've read somewhere that the aero functionality is locked if you don't use the genuine key or something. Does it apply on the beta release?
jrp
i signed up for it, got a confirmation email, got a product key and then went to download it but i keep getting an "Bad Gateway, invalid content length" error. I tried copying the link and pasting the .iso file into safari's download manager but it won't work. firefox doesn't like it either. maybe i should use IE. ewwwww. Jason_Thames
I would think there is probably SOME LOAD on the servers right now... I am also experiencing errors. I guess we are just gonna have to deal with it or use BT instead. I was able to get a key without any problems. -Jason

Make another parition and install it there! Downloading sucks right now because of the load. I, too, keep getting errors. But at least i'm up to 22% after 3 hours! Oh, and BTW, Vista is better that OSX. I just can't handle that damn Finder thing.

belgrano
It took me one hour to download the x86 version using Speed Download. Most of the time the speed was above 700KB/s. ... Oh, and BTW, Vista is better that OSX. I just can't handle that damn Finder thing. BTW, why are you still hanging around here? Go install your Vista and live happy with it.
