Wayland
anyone have any idea!? It depends on your package and if you have the studio version or not. If it's not a studio version it will not have all the other components. The greyed out is due to package contents, not your system config. bask0g
i get the same thing - i'm trying to install fcp from a final cut studio package. but, final cut pro is unchecked and greyed out so that i cannot check it to install. everything else is available for me to check or uncheck, and if i click on final cut pro it says "This package contains Final Cut Pro and Boris Calligraphy titling generator." so, any ideas why i can't install it? i've tried two different packages and both have the same problem. at one time i was able to install it in 10.4.6, but now i have 10.4.8 and it won't give the option to install. i have an asus p4p800e, radeon aiw 9600, and semthex kernel 10.4.8. toddicus
I seem to remember I couldn't install motio on my old G5 because the graphics card wasn't fast enough for core image. I had to remove a pre-flight I think from the installer to get it to install. Then I still couldn't run it, I think there was a mod you could do the .app to make it run though, can't remember. If you have the full FCS install DVDs then you might need to remove the pre-flight script and something else, like a system check, or hardware check from the install pkg. You'll have to create a writeable image of the DVD then remove the check scripts, might work.
