GodOfSharing Posted September 28, 2009 Share Posted September 28, 2009 Greetings: I installed XXX x86 10.5.6 Universal Final V.2, on an ASUS P5PE-VM, DualCore Intel Pentium D 3000 MHz, PNY GeForce 6200 256MB, Kingston 2GB (2x1GB) DDR 400. Installation went fine. The audio was fine. Though it won't successfully update to 10.5.7 or 10.5.8. For Audio Driver I selected :AnalogDevices, ADI1888 (VIA Chipset). After installing iLife 09, I get no system sound out. Sound shows [Line Out, AC97 Audio (PCM), "The selected device has no output controls"] The Audio (from the manual) is: ADI AD1888JCPZ High Definition Audio 6-channel CODEC Though Everest Home edition gives the following info for audio: Intel 82801EB(M) ICH5(-M) - AC'97 Audio Controller [A-2/A-3] I would appreciate any help. From link: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/lofiversi...hp/t127868.html I applied "Audio MIDI Setup" at Properties For: Audio Output, "Stereo for 'Configure Speakers'" and 2ch-16bit.
