xelencin
I currently do not have OS X installed on the machine. Following various guides step by step both at MSI Wind forums and here on InsanelyMac I have not been able to get to the installer for Snow Leopard. This is installation off a 8GB USB stick. I always get stuck when trying to launch the installer from Chameleon with a KP, either a general one or one about unsupported CPU, various by kext. Has anyone had any luck getting Snow Leopard to install on this machine? If so, please point me in the right direction. Thanks. xelencin
I tried MSIWindOSX86.iso and this was able to boot up and install fine. I cannot seem to get the 10.6 installer to load at all as started before I just get a Kernel Panic after a couple of seconds of selecting the OS X Install partition on my memory card from Chameleon. I've tried juggling kexts around with varying error messages in the KP. Has anyone gotten 10.6 to install on the Wind Nettop? Shortland
I'm confused - did 10.6 install with the snowywindosx installer? or have you had no success installing any variant of SL on the Nettop? I honestly didn't think the nettop was compatible, with the lack of support in the bios Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/187349-msi-wind-nettop-100-woes/#findComment-1291410 Share on other sites
Pistooli
my nettop is currently running Leopard, but during the weekend I hope to get some time to play with the SL install.
