Charlie Pace
Hi all: I have decided to try my hand at building my first Hackintosh. I have been reading these forums for a while and wanted to build something that has had a good reputation for going together fairly easy and is fairly compatible. I already have a new Micro ATX case and I ordered the Intel BOXDG31PR LGA 775 Intel G31 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard from newegg at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813121323 yesterday. I will be piecing it together as I order parts and can afford it. I want to make sure I am doing this correctly, but there are some terms I still do not understand. For example on this page, http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.5.8#Intel they mention EFI/Vanilla kernel working & Fully Working w/o Patch. I am still unsure about what these items mean, even though it says they are working. I realize that I do have some work cut out in front of me on this, but I do want to make this as painless as possible, so any guidance anyone can give, I would appreciate it.
