digktialx
Got this working on my Shuttle P35PRO w/ ATI 4850. (Thinks the 4850 is a 4870 in CL but W/E) I adjusted the method differently. I started in Leopard applied most of the stuff then just installed directly from Leopard using the guide from ihack. Then I applied the Bootloader info to the Snow Drive that I just installed to. I have everything working but sound - the VoodooHDA didnt work for me and seems glitchy so I'll have to source a ALC888 driver somewhere else. I used the ethernet driver off the shuttle P35Pro guide on this forum that worked fine. After trying many different methods - I disabled ATA and several other things in bios and made sure AHCI was enabled. Seemed to do the trick in making Snow boot up and run fine. The VoodooHDA seemed to make my video on hulu and other websites super accelerate so I'll be removing that. ** Just one question. Should I put in the Kexts into the S/L/E folder? I thought I did that before Rebooting after install but I don't see them in there. Thanks for the guide! Just one thing I would make clearer is the part where you change //Length to 002. Its not really clear to change BOTH to //Length 002 not just the one. -dx
Beto&Luna
Great guide I got everything up and running on a EP35C-DS3R v2.1. If anybody needs an error/warning free DSDT for this board let me know. One observation: The 2_SnowLeoInstaller script tries to copy com.apple.boot.plist from the scripfiles directory... but it isn't there. It did not cause any problems, so I assume the line was left there from a previous version of the script. For bonjour, I am using the ifconfig solution, but I don't really feel to happy about it. If anybody knows of other "cleaner" solutions please post the links.

Abhishek376
Hello MACinized , Thanks for the awesome mac loader kit . The other guides say aml dstl its like chinese to me lol . This was complete piece of cake . First when I try to run the snow installer . It just asks for the password and nothing happens it just quits . 1) So I opened snowinstaller.sh file in the scripts folder and removed the few lines which finds the kexts . Same problem exits. 2) I see the main 2_snowinstaller gives a hint of root dir . So in terminal I cd up to the macloader_sl_0.3 and drag the .sh file and it worked properly . 3) I tried to boot the USB drive which I tired to restored both in GUID and MBR parititon format 4) I tried to boot with vebros mode (-v) It starts and the installer freezes at message "System up in nano seconds : 232323 " My System Config : Intel DG41 Motherboard / Intel Quad Q8200 Nvidia 8400 ( 512 Mb) Card Leopard(10.5.7) is installed in My Dell XPS 1530 where Im tired to set up the USB(8gb) with macloader . In both the system I successfully ran the Leoaprd 10.5.7 . But in both system I get the System up in nano seconds with the SL I dont have an extra Hard disk . I copied some kexts like vadoo for sound , Realtek 1000 for lan in to the kexts folder . I shouldnt copy them ? Im quite messed up with this from last 1 week . Any help will be greatly apperciated ! Cheers Abhishek

#&$%house Mouse
A HUGE thanks to MACinized for the installer.. It's the only one that's got me this far. I'm hoping that someone has experienced my problem.. I have followed the install to a "T" on many occasions. The only way I can get to the installer is by the traditional -x boot. And at that point Disk Manager only sees the USB drive as a install point and no other drives. I also tried on a different drive and then stalled out on the Realtek 8169E load. It's not a KP. It's just a stall. After the 15th or so install attempt after loading and removing kexts, it's getting old, fast.. What am I missing? Dell Inspiron 518 Core 2 quad Q6600 2 ea. 620GB drives. One formatted HFS+ and UUID Onboard Realtek drivers functioning perfectly in OSX 10.5.

MACinized
in Phase 2 Step 3 , when i reboot i get the icons of Snow leo installation and my original leopard in chameleon loader ,but when i click on any of them i get CPU panic on a background that got a nice apple logo i used the latest pack 0.3 and i also tried with 0.2 and the original SL pack ,same result also to mention that during Phase 1.1 Step 5 ,when i click on 2_DSDTpatcher i get 201 error but it says that the process is successful ,is that normal ? if the snowleo dvd installer was properly restored to your usb-installer, then u may want to double-check the contents of KEXTs folder for any necessary/unnecessary kexts. i'm not really knowledgeable about dsdt but i believe there should be NO error/s. MACinized
A simple question. Are these scripts (and kexts) made for 64bit setup? In case they don't, what do i have to change to get it? Appreciate your help. Tnx for a 64-bit setup, u only need to be concerned about the kexts. except for the NVEnabler, all the kexts already included in the KEXTs folder are 64-bit (taken from Stell's Blog). Is it possible to recover from a 10.5.5 Time Machine backup with this method during the Snow Leopard installation phase? u don't need this MacLoader to recover from your 10.5.5 Time Machine backup. Successfully upgraded to 10.6.1 on my Dell E1705 without any problems at all. Great work MACinized and thanks for your guide and help. nice to hear that too BrumBrum74.
